This year marked our second year serving migrant workers from Mexico and Haiti on Virginia’s Eastern Shore. ❤️ We had the privilege of preparing and serving meals for 500 workers, providing blood pressure screenings, and distributing clothing and shoes. But beyond meeting physical needs, our greatest desire was to meet spiritual needs. We had the opportunity to pray with workers, share our testimonies, and proclaim the hope of the gospel and the message of salvation through Jesus Christ. What a blessing to serve, love, and share Christ with our brothers and sisters on the Eastern Shore. 🙏🏽❤️ Join us for the mission trip on the Eastern Shore during the Labor Day Weekend of 2027 “We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us.” — 2 Corinthians 5:20 #thewellss

When Jesus invites us to be His disciples, he does so with two desires in mind: that we might BE WITH HIM and that we would be SENT BY HIM. There’s priority and process to His calling. First, He desires us to be with Him.To follow Jesus as His disciples means to orient our entire lives around our relationship with Jesus. Second, flowing from our relationship with Jesus, He intends to shape us into fishers of men who are sent by Him with the good news, that others might follow our great Savior with us. This is the calling of every follower of Jesus and doesn’t require extraordinary talents or particular spiritual gifts. However, you must commit to three key practices. These three practices are: 1) FOLLOW JESUS DAILY 2) FISH FOR PEOPLE REGULARLY 3) FORM A FEW INTENTIONALLY. In this sermon series we’ll take a look at what Scripture has to say about these three practices as we intentionally grow as disciples of Christ. #thewellss
