Happy Father’s Day! Good Shepherd UMC honored the dads and men who have touched our lives, taught us to love, showed us the importance of generosity and kindness toward others and demonstrated how to live a life of faith and compassion.

Good Shepherd honored our high school and college graduates on the third Sunday after Pentecost, June 14, 2026.

Special Recognition of Acolytes, Sunday, June 14, 2026.

Good Shepherd honored the ten extraordinary youth who have committed to serving faithfully as acolytes. We thank them for bringing “the light of Christ” into the service each Sunday and, at the conclusion of service, carrying out a taper that symbolizes taking the light of Christ into the world. Our acolytes serve many roles…they assist with baptisms, scripture reading and assist our pastor during the service. We are very grateful for their service to Good Shepherd.

Confirmation Sunday at Good Shepherd UMC, June 7, 2026. Our congregation rejoiced as eight stood before us, professed their faith, confirmed the baptismal vows made for them as children and became professing members of the church.

Through the sacrament of holy baptism, we are initiated into Christ’s holy church … incorporated into God’s mighty acts of salvation and given new birth through water and the Spirit.
