Adventist University of Africa launched OneVoice27 in Nairobi, Kenya, with four projects designed to expand digital discipleship and community outreach across Africa.

The university plans to develop its audiovisual unit into a production center creating short-form content in English, French, Arabic, Amharic, and Portuguese for distribution through Adventist media networks and digital platforms.

Other projects include a mobile-accessible discipleship program, a three-day digital evangelism bootcamp, and health and community initiatives that will culminate in a September 2027 event featuring baptisms and program graduations.

The launch also introduced Generation Light Mode, an East-Central Africa Division initiative aiming to mobilize one million digital missionaries to share resources through their existing social media networks and connect interested people with online Bible studies.

AdventHealth for Children has been named a 2026–2027 Best Children’s Hospital by U.S. News & World Report, with two pediatric specialties receiving national recognition.

The hospital’s neonatology program ranked number 33 in the United States, marking its ninth consecutive year of national recognition.

Its gastroenterology and GI surgery program ranked number 43 nationally and was named the number 1 program of its kind in Florida.

The rankings evaluate pediatric hospitals using measures such as clinical outcomes, adherence to best practices, hospital resources, and input from pediatric specialists.

General Conference leaders visited Albania to better understand the opportunities and challenges facing the Seventh-day Adventist Church’s mission in the country.

The delegation included GC president Erton Köhler, secretary Richard McEdward, and treasurer Paul Douglas. During the visit, they met with local church leaders and pastors and visited several ministries and missionary initiatives.

A key part of the visit was the opening of HopeMedia Albania, a new media center designed to produce and distribute faith-based content through digital platforms.

Leaders also reviewed Albania’s OneVoice27 strategy, which combines prayer, Bible study, member training, social media, WhatsApp, and locally adapted video content.

Visits to a local church, community impact center, and Adventist kindergarten provided additional insight into the Church’s work across the country.

Women across the Northern Asia-Pacific Division are receiving practical training to participate in OneVoice27 through digital ministry, personal relationships, and community involvement.

In Mongolia, more than 70 young women gathered for training focused on reaching their generation through digital platforms. Participants were encouraged to view their phones and online presence as opportunities to share their faith and begin conversations with people they already know.

In Sri Lanka, women attending the Ceylon Mission camp meeting explored ways to participate through their families, neighborhoods, workplaces, churches, and communities.

The training emphasized everyday approaches to mission, including conversations, Bible studies, acts of service, personal relationships, and digital outreach.

Adventist congregations across eastern Russia joined the global launch of OneVoice27 with a special day of prayer and dedication on September 5.

Across Siberia and other regions of the East Russian Union Mission, members joined the initiative under the theme “Mission for All,” emphasizing that everyone can contribute to the mission in different ways.

Participants were encouraged to identify how they could personally get involved, including praying for specific people, helping others through difficult situations, talking about faith, and using digital media to share the gospel.

A special questionnaire also invited members to consider what resources, abilities, and experiences they already have that could be shared with others as part of their personal involvement in mission.

Silvestre Adventist Hospital has performed the first isolated bowel transplant in the state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

The approximately six-hour procedure provided patient Viviane with a small and large intestine transplant without simultaneously transplanting other organs. She had developed short bowel syndrome, intestinal failure, and severe malnutrition as consequences of Crohn’s disease.

Performed through Brazil’s public healthcare system, the surgery concluded without complications. The hospital’s transplant team had previously gained experience with multivisceral procedures and received specialized training in intestinal transplantation.

Since 2010, Silvestre Adventist Hospital has performed 1,688 kidney and liver transplants. The procedure also took place during Green September, a month dedicated to raising awareness about organ donation.

Churches across the Northern Asia-Pacific Division launched OneVoice27 through locally adapted initiatives focused on prayer, relationships, digital ministry, and personal involvement in mission.

In Nepal, more than 1,000 members gathered in Banepa and Udayapur, including more than 100 children participating in OneVoice27 for Kids. About 1,500 members gathered in Sri Lanka, while approximately 1,300 participated in Pakistan, where 56 people were baptized.

Other initiatives included digital missionary training plans in Taiwan, commitment ceremonies in Korea, personal prayer commitments in Mongolia and Nepal, and nationwide church participation in Bangladesh.

The September 5 launch begins a broader journey toward 2027, encouraging members to use personal relationships, local church ministry, and digital platforms to share their faith.

An Instagram video became the starting point of Dárci Nunc-nfoonro Saez Parra’s journey from online engagement to Bible study and baptism in Brazil.

In March, Parra saw a video inviting viewers to a free week of Bible studies about the life of Jesus. After clicking a link to WhatsApp, she connected with members of the Penha Adventist Church in Santa Catarina and attended the program in person.

Church members continued studying the Bible with Parra after the event, and she was later baptized during a gathering of more than 160 Adventist administrators and leaders in southern Brazil.

Her story, later featured on Novo Tempo television, illustrates the digital-to-personal approach being emphasized through OneVoice27—using online content to begin conversations that can continue through personal connections and local churches.

The Southern Asia-Pacific Division recorded an estimated digital reach of 23.8 million during the September 5 global launch of OneVoice27.

Preliminary social media data included 50,800 mentions of , more than 542,000 interactions, 14,000 shares, 6,500 images, and 350 videos. The figures represent available data and do not capture all digital activity across the division.

Churches throughout the division’s 11-country territory combined the coordinated social media initiative with worship services, commitment prayers, community outreach, and locally adapted programs.

The strategy encourages more than 1.8 million Adventists across the division to create, customize, or share digital content, with the broader goal of turning online interactions into personal conversations, Bible studies, and connections with local churches.
