Ooohhhh mmmmyyy Goooooood! I have been meaning to get myself a personalized BenShot | “Bulletproof” Glassware 🍻 in forever! Especially after releasing The World is Ours.
I can’t even recall how I found but when I did , it’s been my go to for personalized bulletproof coffee mugs as gifts for friends and family - especially family 🤪!

There are books I read - and then there are books I study. The ones I strip down to the bare bones. I read everything: acknowledgements, preface, back cover, then I go down a Google rabbit hole hunting for every scrap of context about the story and the writer behind it.

I’m obsessed with well‑researched books. I especially love books by journalists‑turned‑authors—their discipline, their ethics, their devotion to getting the world right on the page.

That’s why I’m forever fascinated by the story of Ken Follett and Pillars of the Earth. His own agent doubted he could pull it off. It was a complete departure from his polished thriller lane…suddenly he wanted to write historical fiction about masonry and cathedral building, subjects he knew absolutely nothing about.

And yet… 1,097 pages later, Ken built the cathedral. And a masterpiece. And a global bestseller. I devoured it in a week because it was that good.

So here’s the truth I keep returning to:
Write the book you know nothing about.
Stretch yourself past the edges of your familiar territory.
Fall, learn, build, and watch your wings spread in the freefall.
