Adventist Volunteer Service (AVS) facilitates volunteer missionary service of church members around the world.
Our mission is to assist the Seventh-day Adventist® Church in the proclamation of the gospel to all peoples through the ministry of Adventist Volunteers, matching talents, gifts, resources and professional expertise with defined needs. Volunteers ages 18 to 80 may serve as pastors, teachers, medical professionals, computer technicians, pilots, orphanage workers, farmers, and more.

👉🏼They said Jesus broke the Sabbath.
But they never understood Him.
Jesus didn’t break the Sabbath…
He broke the chains people put around it.
He broke the fear of never being enough.
He broke the guilt of getting it wrong.
He broke a version of religion that crushed people instead of healing them.
And in the middle of all that…
He showed what the Sabbath was always meant to be.
Not pressure.
Not performance.
Not perfection.
But presence.
On the Sabbath, Jesus didn’t push people away.
He moved closer.
He healed the broken.
He restored the forgotten.
He gave dignity back to those religion had ignored.
That’s the Sabbath.
A space where your soul can breathe again.
A moment where heaven feels close.
A reminder that you don’t have to earn what God already wants to give you.
And maybe…
that’s what you’ve been missing all along.
🕊️ The Sabbath was never meant to be heavy.
It was meant to bring you back to Jesus.
