Meet our Newest Provider for our Metairie, LA location: Michelle Babin, FNP-C! 🩺
Michelle has devoted her career to caring for others, a calling that began with her dream of becoming a nurse in high school. She graduated with honors from Nicholls State University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and brings more than 25 years of healthcare experience, including years of service in a Level II trauma emergency department.
After earning her Nurse Practitioner degree from the University of South Alabama, Michelle went on to spend the past 12 years in primary care, where she found her greatest fulfillment in developing meaningful, lasting relationships with her patients. In addition to primary care, she has experience in aesthetics, providing services such as neurotoxin injections, microneedling, and chemical peels, as well as guiding patients in the safe and effective use of weight loss medications within a comprehensive wellness strategy.
Michelle is especially passionate about preventive care, longevity, and helping patients take control of their health before problems arise. Influenced by personal experiences, she has also developed a strong focus on women’s hormone health and believes hormone therapy should be a more routine and transparent part of women’s healthcare conversations.
Through the DPC Plus model, Michelle is able to provide one of the most valuable things in medicine today: time. Time to listen, to educate, and to truly know her patients. She believes that this deeper, more personal approach to care creates the foundation for better outcomes, stronger trust, and a more individualized path to lifelong wellness.
