It doesn't take very long for the first Christians to encounter opposition. If you've ever engaged in the work of God's mission that's not surprising to you. When they encounter opposition they immediately turn to prayer. That's not really surprising either. What IS surprising is the content of their prayer and what they hope to receive. Join us as we examine the prayer of our first brothers and sisters in Christ as they went about "the main thing", sharing the Gospel of Christ wherever and whenever they could.

We had a Great Back to School Bash today. Special Thanks to everyone who helped make it possible.

When we read Scripture, we often encounter people that seem so much stronger than us. They face situations and circumstances far more challenging than our own. Yet, they seem to face it with far more resilience than we do. What is the secret to their strength? Paul and Silas in Acts 16 help remind us that "the joy of the Lord is our strength." How can we find this joy and this strength? Join us as we explore that very question.

Some things just go together. Where there's fire, there's smoke. Where there's lightning, there's thunder. Where there are bees, there's honey. Where there are roses, there are thorns. Today, as we continue through the book of Acts, we see that where the Gospel is preached, there is not only repentance, faith and growth of the Church, but something else far less pleasant: persecution. Join us as we consider the occupational hazard of living as witnesses of Jesus Christ.
