Happy Throwback Thursday! 🌴📸

Today I’m taking it back 14 years to an unforgettable family adventure with my son, my mom, my sister, and my Uncle. We spent the day exploring the Miccosukee Indian Village in Homestead, Florida, and it was truly an amazing experience.

As members of the Onondaga Tribe, it was fascinating to learn about another Native American tribe, their traditions, culture, and history. It’s always inspiring to see the rich heritage and unique stories that connect Indigenous communities across the country.

After our visit, we made a few more memorable stops at a wonderful local fruit stand and a winery, making it the perfect South Florida day. 🍇🍷🥭

Homestead is such a unique place with so much to discover. Looking back on these photos brings back some incredible memories and reminds me how special it is to experience new places with the people you love.

There was one question I kept getting on phone call after phone call yesterday at the office…

“How was Float Fest?”

The only way I could describe it was this: it was a moment of complete bliss out on the water that I wish I could bottle up and keep forever.

This was my 3rd year attending Float Fest, and somehow it gets better every single year. The music, the sunshine, the boats, and the incredible people all come together to create such a fun community experience.

I had my flag flying high all day, and it was so much fun! Friends spotted me from across the water and came by to say hello, and even people I’d never met before stopped over to introduce themselves. Those unexpected conversations are some of my favorite memories from the day.

One thing that made me laugh… I later realized my flag managed to photobomb several selfies people were taking! 😂 I couldn’t resist grabbing a few photos of those moments.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by, waved, said hello, or just shared a smile. Days like Float Fest are a great reminder of how lucky we are to live in such an amazing community.
