Riders to Racers is going into hibernation for a little while. šŸ’¤šŸ

I’ve had a pretty major career opportunity come my way that is going to take a lot of my time and attention. On top of that, as many of you know, my son is getting more serious with baseball and football — which means my weekends are quickly becoming his weekends. šŸˆāš¾ļø

Rather than try to stretch myself too thin, I’m going to step back from RR for a bit and jump back in when I can give it the time and energy it deserves.

I will still be here supporting and showcasing other events, series, and organizations across Texas through the late summer, fall, and winter.

I absolutely love this community and everything RR has become. This is not goodbye, just a little pause.

Be back soon. šŸ¤, kirby.

Reminder!

We only accept cash at the gate!

$40 for big bikes- a big bike refers to an adult dirtbike not an adventure bike. A little confusion today on that so wanted to clarify.

$20 for small bike meaning 50, 65, 110, that would be a child’s size bike.

Thanks for coming to my TED talk, see you tomorrow!!

A HUGE thank you to Mike Arnold for supporting Riders to Racers! We appreciate your partnership in helping make these events possible. Be sure to read about Mike down below!

A little about Mike:
I’ve always loved a challenge. Ironman, ultra-marathons, climbing mountains—and, for the past 55 years, riding and racing dirt bikes. Enduro, motocross, mud, dust, crashes and questionable decisions, both in the UK and the USA, including many great days with my friends at TORCS and TX2.

Not long ago, I was handed a very different kind of challenge. I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease.

After more than 20 years of Ironman racing, decades on dirt bikes and a lifetime spent doing all sorts of other crazy things, it feels like a strange card to be dealt. But self-pity has never suited me. I’d probably be rubbish at it after ten minutes anyway. Parkinson’s does not get to define me. I’m still the same Mike: stubborn, driven, slightly mad and still convinced that wrestling a KTM 500 around a dirt-bike course is a perfectly reasonable way to spend a weekend.

I want to show people living with Parkinson’s that a diagnosis does not mean life is over. The road may become rougher, and the obstacles may be bigger, but you keep moving, keep fighting and keep looking for the next finish line. Through my company OMS Subsea, and by riding my KTM 500 at as many events as my body will allow, I intend to raise awareness, offer hope and, wherever possible, raise money for the Parkinson’s community.

So when you see me in the pits, come over and say hello. I just want to keep riding, keep turning up and keep being part of this brilliant dirt-bike community.

This is not the end of anything. It is simply another race. The course has changed, but I still have plenty of fuel in the tank—and plenty of fight left in me. Thank you for being in my corner.

šŸ“¢ ATTENTION RIDERS! URGENT SCHEDULE UPDATE šŸŒ§ļø

Due to persistent heavy rainfall, we have made the difficult decision to POSTPONE this weekend’s ā€œRiders to Racers to Outlaw Traxā€ event.

Our top priority is maintaining the integrity of this incredible private property and respecting the landowners’ wishes. Currently, the grounds are simply too ā€œsloppyā€ and unsafe to even access the parking areas.

🚨 NEW DATES: ONE WEEK LATER 🚨
To ensure you get the maximum seat time after the delay, we are expanding the event into a FULL RIDE WEEKEND!

FRIDAY, JULY 24
SATURDAY, JULY 25
SUNDAY, JULY 26

We know there are other events next weekend, so we’re opening for three full days to give you more flexibility and riding opportunities.

āœ… Camping Available
āœ… CASH ONLY Event

We appreciate your understanding. Let the trails dry out, and we will see you next weekend for an epic three days of riding! šŸ
