We’re big fans of Dolly Parton and the incredible legacy she has created through the Imagination Library. Her dedication to putting books into children’s hands and building lifelong readers is truly inspiring. We’re grateful for the impact she has made on literacy and education around the world! ❤️📖

We’re sometimes asked why the Solon Public Library doesn’t participate in the Imagination Library. The simple answer is that participation requires an ongoing financial commitment from the local library. With a limited budget, we have to be thoughtful about how we use our resources and which programs will serve the greatest number of people in our community.

That doesn’t diminish our admiration for Dolly or the Imagination Library. We love what the program does! Here at Solon Public Library, we focus our resources on our own early literacy programs, storytimes, Summer Reading, children’s collections, and other free opportunities that help local children and families discover the joy of reading.

We’re thankful to Dolly for championing something we believe in so strongly: every child deserves the opportunity to discover the magic of a book. 📚💙

Friendly reminder that we are open until 4 PM today!

Thank you for planning ahead and visiting the Library early! 🖤📚
