🎉🎉This summer the City and Library congratulated Sherri Steichen for over 25 years of service at the Solon Public Library!🎉🎉

Sheri is our loyal Saturday morning Librarian, but behind the scenes she is our Cataloging Librarian, processing hundreds of books each year, making sure new Library materials are well-managed in our collected and ready for checkout!

Our staff would like to thank Sherri for all her hard work and lifelong commitment to the Solon community!

Be sure to congratulate Sherri when you see her in the Library!

Back-to-School with Solon Public Library! With the start of August, expect to see less activities and events at the Library while we prepare for back-to-school programs beginning in September! Join us for Dinos at Dusk, FRIDAY, August 7 @ 6 PM

To close out our summer of incredible programs and guests, we're excited to share Dinosaurs at Dusk again! We'll enjoy a large variety of wooden dinosaurs from the Jack Neuzil collection on the Library patio and lawn.

Friends can read a book with their favorite dinosaur, get creative with crafts, and enjoy sensory play.

Please note: The Library will close at 5 PM as usual.

Intended for all-ages. No registration required.

For the month of August, the Solon Book Club is reading No Time Like the Future by Michael J. Fox.

In No Time Like the Future: An Optimist Considers Mortality, Michael shares personal stories and observations about illness and health, aging, the strength of family and friends, and how our perceptions about time affect the way we approach mortality. Thoughtful and moving, but with Fox's trademark sense of humor, his audiobook provides a vehicle for reflection about our lives, our loves, and our losses.
