Tomorrow morning we’ll be hanging out at Paws on the Mat with Sushi! 🐾🩷
Come see us at Backyard Social in Fort Myers from 8–11 AM, get some puppy love from Sushi, and support a fun morning for the local dog community. Sushi will also be accepting applications for his forever home, so maybe his person will be there waiting for him. 🥹

I truly don’t understand how anyone could abandon a soul as loving as Sushi. This boy is perfect in every way, and we cannot wait for the day he finally gets the happily ever after he deserves. 🤍
Sushi is officially accepting applications! He’s potty trained, crate trained, and wonderful with dogs, cats, kids, bunnies, chickens, horses, pigs AND goats. Seriously, this boy is the whole package. 🥹🐾

WE GOT TO SAVE GUEDDO, GUYS! 🥹❤️
An amazing home stepped up to foster Gueddo with the potential of adopting him, which meant we were able to pull him and give him his chance. We introduced him to different animals, brought him inside a home, which honestly seemed like it may have been his first time, and put him in a completely different environment to really see how he handled it all.
And he did AMAZING. ❤️ Gueddo is now peacefully settling into his foster home, which we very much hope becomes his forever home.
Thank you to every single person who shared him, sent positive thoughts, and helped get his face out there.

Look at that little face and butt wag 😭🖤 Sushi is literally the cutest thing and such an absolute sweetheart.
He still needs some leash manners and he is a strong boy, but he’s quickly learning how to be a gentleman on his walks. He’s super friendly with dogs, kids AND cats, completely potty trained, and drop dead gorgeous.
Sushi is ready to be someone’s best friend. Please share this sweet boy and help us find his forever home! 🖤

Rue headed off today for a two-week foster-to-adopt trial and we are SO hopeful this could be it for her. 🖤
This girl came to us straight off the streets, exhausted, with injured little paw pads, intestinal parasites and heartworms, but somehow still one of the sweetest, easiest, most loving dogs you could ask for. Now she gets the chance to settle into a home, be spoiled, and show them exactly what we already know about her. 🥹
Keep your fingers crossed that two weeks from now we get to make Rue’s official adoption post. 🤞🏼🖤

Our sweet Missy is finally in her forever home this weekend, and we could not be happier for her!
This little girl waited so patiently for the right family to find her, and now she gets to start the next chapter of her life exactly where she belongs. Safe, loved, and HOME. 🐾

Meet Sushi 💙
This gorgeous 55lb boy just arrived today and is already showing us what an absolute gem he is. Very well-behaved, loves meeting new animals and people, haven’t found anything he doesn’t like yet.
He loves kids, does great with other dogs, and is good with cats too. He’s healthy and ready to find his fairy tale ending.
There really isn’t much more you could ask for in a dog. Sushi is sweet, respectful, loving, and ready for his forever home. Now we just need to find the people lucky enough to call him theirs. 🖤

Unfortunately, our sweet Rue tested positive for heartworms. 💔
The good news is we’ve cleared her of intestinal parasites, she’s now fully vetted, and we’ve already started her journey through heartworm treatment, which will continue through our vet.
I really cannot say enough about what an incredible dog this girl is. Rue is genuinely one of the easiest, most manageable dogs we’ve had come through the rescue. She is incredibly sweet, mellow, easygoing, respectful, and just happy to be wherever her people are. She’s great with other dogs, kids and even cats. She really is the kind of dog who just fits into your life.
She may be heading into a foster home this weekend, but Rue is still very much available for adoption. She simply needs her loving family to find her and give her the soft landing she deserves while she finishes recovering from all of this craziness caused by human selfishness.
Heartworms are treatable. Rue has already survived the hard part. Now we need to get this amazing girl HOME. 🖤

I need help, guys. 🥺
We desperately need fosters right now. I have dogs coming in who need somewhere safe to land, and without foster homes, there is only so much we can do.
Rue is still waiting for a foster and she is seriously one of the easiest dogs to have around. She’s mellow, sweet, easy-going, potty trained, dog friendly, cat friendly, kid friendly and could be managed by just about anyone willing to give her a safe place to stay.
We also have Sushi coming in, a young, playful male who will need a foster while we get him ready for his forever home.
And then there’s this guy. 💔 He’s a roughly 100 lb XL Bully who, from everything I’ve been told, is an absolute sweetheart. He is currently somewhere that is so overwhelmed they are literally stacking dog crates trying to make room, and he is at risk of being euthanized.
I really, really want to pull this boy. He is sweet, he is deserving, and I don’t want his life to end simply because there is nowhere for him to go. But I need somewhere safe for him to land in order to help him.
So I’m asking for help.
If you can foster ANY of these dogs, even temporarily, PLEASE reach out. If you own or know of a boarding facility willing to offer discounted rescue boarding, please reach out. And if fostering isn’t possible but you would be willing to sponsor boarding for one of them, that could quite literally be what gives us the ability to say yes.
The dogs needing us aren’t slowing down, but we cannot keep helping them without people willing to step up alongside us.
