Fall decorating doesn’t always have to mean pumpkins. 🍂

Sometimes it’s simply about bringing in the colors and textures that feel like the season. That’s one of the reasons I love this vintage floral jar so much. The warm rust, deep green, rich blue and creamy white feel right at home in an autumn display — but there’s nothing about it that says it has to disappear once fall is over.

I love pieces like this because they can move so easily from one season to the next. Tucked into a fall vignette now, then styled with greenery, books, flowers, or other favorite pieces as the seasons change.

Today is a beautiful day to come in, wander through the Cottage, and maybe find a unique piece to bring a little seasonal color home with you. 🤎

It’s a quiet little Thursday at the Cottage today… 🍂

John’s Dawg House is out front serving lunch, the Cottage is open until 5:30, and the nursery is still 50% off all plants.

If you’ve been meaning to stop in, today is a lovely day to come browse slowly, see what’s tucked into all the corners, and maybe take home a little something you didn’t know you needed. ❤️

Happy first day of fall from The Eclectic Cottage. 🍂

The nursery is beginning to show all those beautiful little signs that the season is changing — grasses turning golden, hydrangeas fading into their autumn shades, seed heads forming, and foliage taking on richer, warmer color.

There is still plenty of time to tuck a few more beautiful things into the garden before the season settles in. With warm soil, cooler days, and all plants in the nursery 50% off, this is such a lovely time to add a little more color, texture and life to the landscape — and enjoy these golden September days while they’re here.

So here’s to crisp mornings, glowing afternoons, pumpkins, candlelight, a little fall gardening, and all the cozy things still to come. 🍁

Fall Fest is tomorrow! 🍂

I’ve spent today getting the Cottage and nursery ready, and everything is feeling very September right now — warm fall color, late-season blooms, little treasures tucked into the shop, and all the pieces coming together for tomorrow.

I’d love for you to come spend some time here with us. Wander through the Cottage, stroll the nursery, visit our local vendors, grab something delicious from Flourish Mobile Coffee Cart, enjoy lunch from John’s Dawg House, and take your time seeing what you discover along the way.

And to make the trip even sweeter, tomorrow all the plants in the nursery will be 50% off.

Saturday, September 19 • 10:00–5:30

I hope you’ll come enjoy a beautiful fall day at the Cottage with us. 🤎

One of the things I love most about this little shop is that it never stays exactly the same. I’m always searching for pieces and products that feel interesting, useful, beautiful, or just a little unexpected. Many of the things I’ve chosen for the Cottage also come from local artists whose work fits so naturally into the mix.

The artists I feature do such a wonderful job of bringing in fresh, seasonal pieces that still feel completely at home here, and they’re a big part of what makes The Eclectic Cottage feel so unique. The mix changes from season to season, but the feeling stays the same: collected, creative, a little unexpected, and unmistakably Cottage. 🤎

The nursery is beginning to take on the colors of fall. 🍂

Burgundies, deeper reds, warm yellows and soft, faded tones are settling in, and I love the way they all seem to blend together this time of year.

This Saturday during Fall Fest, our remaining nursery stock will be 50% off — a pretty wonderful excuse to fill a few empty spots in the garden and take home something beautiful for less. And of course the timing couldn’t be better for planting.

We’ll also have local vendors, coffee, hot dogs and treats throughout the day, so come spend a little time with us, wander the nursery, shop the Cottage and enjoy a fall Saturday.

There’s something about September—the evenings begin to cool, the days get a little shorter, and spending time in the kitchen starts sounding good again.

I love keeping a small, carefully curated collection of cookbooks at the Cottage—books I've chosen for their beautiful photography, approachable recipes, and the kind of inspiration that makes you want to spend a little more time in the kitchen.

Half Baked Harvest by Tieghan Gerard is definitely one of them. This gorgeous book is filled with beautiful food photography, approachable recipes, and ingredients that are easy to find—maybe even from your own garden. Just swipe through for a little peek inside. 🤍

This book would be a lovely addition to your own kitchen—or a pretty and thoughtful gift for someone who enjoys spending time in theirs.

Available now at the Cottage.

One of my favorite things about owning The Eclectic Cottage is the opportunity it gives me to feature the work of local artists and makers.

There is something special about filling the shop with pieces created right here in our region. Each artist brings their own talent, personality, style, and creativity to what they make, and all of those individual touches come together to help make The Eclectic Cottage feel truly unique and eclectic.

I also love knowing that when I bring their work into the shop, I’m not only finding something wonderful to share with you — I’m supporting another small business as well.

That connection between local businesses, artists, makers, and the people who choose to shop with us is something I’m incredibly grateful for.

So today I’m sharing just a few of our Local Cottage Favorites — and celebrating some of the wonderful local businesses whose creativity helps make the Cottage what it is. 🤎
