She is genuinely one of the sweetest souls you will ever meet. The kind of person who can brighten your whole day just by walking into the room. Her smile, her kindness, and her gentle heart make everyone around her feel cared for and loved.

Karyn is an incredible nurse, but what makes her so special goes far beyond what she does. It’s who she is. She loves people deeply, cares with her whole heart, and is so very loved in return.

We are also incredibly grateful for Karyn’s service to our country. Her strength, dedication, courage, and selflessness are just a few of the many qualities that make her so special. Today we celebrate 40 years of an incredible life—and a woman who has become such a deeply loved part of the Spokane Falls Recovery Center family.

Mindy, you are tough as nails with one of the biggest hearts we know. You love fiercely, protect fiercely, and when someone needs you, you show up. You have an incredible gift of making people feel like they matter… like they are worth fighting for… like their story isn’t over yet.

You have given so much of yourself to the people we serve and to all of us who are lucky enough to call you family. You don’t just talk about recovery—you live it through service, compassion, faith, and the way you love people.

And maybe the greatest measure of your life isn’t a number. It’s the people.

The people you’ve helped.
The people you’ve encouraged.

The people who found a little more hope because you were there.

Today, we celebrate Dawnelle and 3 beautiful years clean and sober! 🎉

Dawnelle knows firsthand that recovery doesn’t happen by simply wishing for a different life. It takes willingness, courage, humility, and a commitment to do the work—one day at a time.

She walked through the doors of Spokane Falls Recovery Center as someone searching for hope. She was willing to take the suggestions, face the hard things, and build a life she once may not have believed was possible.

And today, she walks through those same doors as part of our team—not just as an alumni, but as someone who now gets to be the hope for someone else.

There is something incredibly powerful about watching someone who once needed hope become someone who now carries hope to others.

Sunny, you are living proof of the miracle of recovery. Your journey is a reminder that where someone starts does not have to determine where they finish. The pain, struggles, and battles of yesterday can become the very experience that allows us to reach someone who is still fighting for their life today.
