Thursday, September 3 at 7pm at the Washington Cracker Building. Pivot Spokane In partnership with the Washington State University, the Elson Floyd College of Medicine, and The Nocturnists, presents stories on the theme (Pretend) It's a Person.

Healthcare providers, social service professionals, and community members tell their powerful stories of working with, and being a member of, marginalized populations.
The event is free, with a $10 suggested donation. All proceeds for this event will be donated to wildfire relief efforts.

✨️ Student Speaker Announcement ✨️
We are excited to welcome one of our graduating students this year Alma Vazquez, as our Student Speaker!

🎓 Alma Vazquez is student from Eastern Washington University, earing her degree in Social Work. We have been fortunate to have her at the center working with the community and are excited to see her continue with her career!

Farmworker women and girls are vulnerable to sexual abuse & harassment by supervisors, company
owners, crew leaders & others. They're unlikely to report it & many may not know that they have any
rights against the abuse. Farmworker women and girls also face retaliation, like risk of being fired, and
continued threats of physical & sexual violence if they refuse advances, including retaliation against
their family members who work with them. Join us on Wednesday, April 22nd for an art-activism workshop to discuss the struggles of farmworker women and decorate bandanas in solidarity!
