Although September is almost over, we should never stop being aware of su***de, warning signs, and prevention. This month has been full of great information from local organizations regarding su***de prevention awareness. Continuing to care for one another and being aware of each other's mental health is what can help.
To cap off the month, we would like to share some warning signs of su***de. Please know that warning signs are not always obvious and may be hard to predict. With this knowledge, we can be better prepared to support others in our community. Please continue to check in on yourself, your loved ones, and others in the community. Conversations about mental health are not always easy, but they help people get the treatment and support that they may need. Together, we can ensure that those we care about are supported! Healing happens in community. πππ

NAMI Spokane's Sip and Support is just under two months away! We have been working hard to procure auction items for our event. If you or someone you know has an exciting auction item that they would like to donate to a good cause, please reach out at [email protected]!
NAMI Spokane's programs include mental health support groups for peers, families, teens and young adults. We also provide educational courses, community presentations, and resource navigation. All for FREE!
Proceeds from Sip and Support will be used to continue providing current programs as well as establish new ones in line with the needs of our community. If you are passionate about mental health, delicious dinners, and extravagant evenings, then Sip and Support is just the event for you!ππ½

Mental health conditions can affect many different types of people! Many people may also experience the symptoms of a mental health condition at some point in their life. If someone is not directly affected, they may have a loved one who is! A reminder to be kind! π
