Everyone wants to be loved, to feel confident, and to know they belong, but is the church somewhere many of our friends and neighbors would look to find that kind of atmosphere? How can we build the kind of a community where people know they belong? In this week's Destination Church podcast, we discover the answer to the heart-cry of people everywhere.
Ephesians Part 10: Praying For A Powerful Church (Ephesians 3:14-21) - Destination Church Spokane Podcast How encouraging it must have been for the Ephesian churches to know that Paul was praying for them, especially when he told them what he was praying! Paul's prayer can help us know how to pray for one another too, as well as giving us excellent bi...

Last week we officially celebrated the 8th Anniversary of Destination Church, seven of those years in our Market Street facility in the Hillyard neighborhood. Wow! As a part of our celebration, we reflected on five gifts God has given to us, and that help us shine the light of the gospel. We hope you enjoy 'God's Many-Colored Wisdom,' Part 9 of our series in Ephesians, and our latest installment of the Destination Church podcast!
Ephesians Part 9: God's Many-Colored Wisdom (Ephesians 3:7-13) - Destination Church Spokane Podcast People of privilege. More than just a pretentious-sounding phrase, it's actually a very accurate description of the people of God! For the 8th Anniversary of Destination Church, we celebrate five privileged gifts that God bestows on us as His peop...

Keys can give us access to amazing things, can't they! When our eyes are opened up to just how amazing the gospel is, we are entrusted with privilege to share the good news with others, too. Identity is unlocked, vision opened up, and partnership released. Check out Revealing Grace on this week's Destination Church podcast!
Ephesians Part 8: Revealing Grace (Ephesians 3:1-6) - Destination Church Spokane Podcast What does it mean to be a steward of God's grace? To know we belong, we're 'family' here, and that we have a sense of purpose - that this life together really matters - touches something deeply in our hearts, doesn't it? We recognize that the most special thing about a home really isn't the flooring choice or the wall design; it has more to do with the relationships that are formed and flourish inside of it! The house God is building is much the same, and this week's Destination Church podcast leads us into this theme. Check out God's Dwelling Place in the seventh installment of our Ephesians series.
Ephesians Part 7 - God's Dwelling Place (Ephesians 2:18-20) - Destination Church Spokane Podcast What is it about a house that makes it a home, and what kind of house is God building? In Christ, God is building a family to carry His presence in the earth, built on a strong foundation, well- founded, well-fitted, and well-formed.

Up for a challenge? In a deeply divided world where hostility toward the 'other' is so often considered normal, is it possible for the church to represent something more beautiful? What does it mean to be the 'one new man' in Christ that Paul talks about in Ephesians 2? And, can 'I' be a part of this? We took time to unpack this one carefully in this week's Destination Church podcast.
Ephesians Part 6 - One New Man In Christ (Ephesians 2:1-18) - Destination Church Spokane Podcast Who were we before Christ, and who are we in Christ? Jesus brings us from being 'foreigners' regarding the promises of God into a place of full inclusion, reconciled to God and reconciling to one another. The Good News is even better than being in...

"When I get up in the morning, the first thing I want is..." How would you answer that question... 'coffee,' 'peace and quiet,' 'my cellphone'? There's something we all need more than these 21st Century life 'essentials,' and God has provided it for us by His grace. What is it? Check out this week's Destination Church Podcast for the answer!
Ephesians Part 5: By Grace Through Faith (Ephesians 2:1-10) - Destination Church Spokane Podcast From spiritually dead to being made wonderfully, spiritually alive - this is what God does for us in Christ. Before Christ, every one of us was, as Paul puts it, a 'child of wrath' while also... greatly loved. The gracious plan of God brings us fr...

What does it mean to live a Christ-centered life? Almost two thousand years ago, Paul was doing exactly this, and doing so from a prison cell. His encouragement to the churches in the region around Ephesus points us all to Jesus as he says to them, maybe surprisingly, "I've heard about... you!" Their own faith and their loving action inspired worship and prayer in his own heart, and that's just the beginning. Check out this week's Destination Church Podcast: Christ-Centered.
Ephesians Part 4: Christ-Centered (Ephesians 1:15-23) - Destination Church Spokane Podcast Christ-centered living is not just a religious 'catch phrase.' Paul encourages the Ephesian church even while he himself is in prison, writing to them that he's been hearing about their faith and loving action. As he encourages them, he does so wi...

When fires burn and hearts are in upheaval, where do we place our hope? Homes and family inheritances can be reduced to ash - and many have been in Spokane in recent days. We're processing the Spokane fires right alongside our neighbors, and are grieving with those who grieve. In days like these we must be very careful what words we choose, and how we talk about God's sovereignty, and yet... if He is not sovereign today, then He is actually not sovereign at all. In this week's Destination Church Podcast, we bring the hope of Scripture (Ephesians 1:11-14) and the Gospel with us right into the smoke, ashes, and pain of real life. We hope this isn't just a 'band aid,' but real encouragement to hearts that need refreshing.
Ephesians Part 3 - God's Sovereign Promise (Ephesians 1:11-14) - Destination Church Spokane Podcast Can we really find hope in God's sovereignty? What about in seasons of extreme difficulty? Furthermore, is it right for us to think of ourselves as having a significant role in God's sovereign plan and purpose? When we understand sovereignty in a ...
