Our kindergarten and first grade Eagles ran their first cross country meet and timed pacer! 🦅🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

They brought big smiles, determined strides, and plenty of energy to the Stevens field. We even had some special inflatable friends cheering from the sidelines! 🎈

Thank you to all the families who came out to encourage our runners. You made their first meet feel extra special! 💙💛

LEVY RESOLUTION: Earlier this year, the School Board approved a resolution placing an Educational Programs and Operations (EP&O) levy on the Nov. 3, 2026, ballot for voters residing in Spokane Public Schools boundaries.

This levy would replace the EP&O levy approved by voters in 2024, which collects funds for 2025, 2026, and 2027 budget years, to collect funds in 2028, 2029, and 2030.

The EP&O levy funds about 15% of Spokane Public Schools' budget, supporting academics, activities and athletics, and services for students.

📚🦅 What a week it has been in first grade!

Our students’ favorite books arrived through some VERY special deliveries—by kayak, service animal, wheelbarrow, and more! Each delivery brought plenty of happiness, excitement, laughter, and huge smiles!

As Mrs. Olson shared:

“In all my years of teaching, this is the best thing I’ve ever done!” 💙

The perfect ending to this fun-filled literacy week was a special visit from none other than Stevie Eagle! 🦅📖
