🐰🐐 Rescue Petting Zoo at Riverview! 🐴🐓

Our patio was filled with furry, feathered, and four-legged friends when 2nd Chance Ranch Petting Zoo. came to visit! Residents enjoyed meeting bunnies, goats, sheep, chickens, guinea pigs, ponies, and even a donkey! 🐾

One of the biggest hits was the "Bunny-Holding Station", where residents could sit back, hold a bunny, and pet their new fluffy friend for as long as they wished. With plenty of bunnies to go around, there was lots of time for cuddles.

Farmer Joy, leader of 2nd Chance Ranch, estimates that they have been visiting us here at Riverview for about 20 years, bringing more than two decades of animal education, connection, and animal-assisted therapy to our residents!

A HUGE thank-you to Farmer Joy and her wonderful volunteers for rescuing these animals and bringing them around Spokane to receive all the love and affection they deserve! We're so grateful for the joy you bring to our community year after year. 🧡💙💚

🎹✨ Four Dueling Pianists in one unforgettable concert! ✨🎹

Our chapel was filled with incredible music this month as we welcomed four incredibly talented jazz musicians: Chris James Gootherts, Elena Casanova, Spencer Brewer, and Wendy DeWitt!

Elena, Spencer, and Wendy, traveled all the way from California to join Chris for this special performance! The audience was treated to a wonderful mix of jazz flavors, with the musicians taking turns performing solos, duos — and even all four playing together at once! 🎶

It was a great afternoon of music and fun at Riverview 💙💚🧡 Thank you to these amazing musicians for sharing your talents with our community!

✨👗 A Fashionable Afternoon at Riverview! 👗✨

The Veranda was filled with style, smiles and a little bit of sparkle during a fabulous fashion show presented in partnership with the American Cancer Society Discovery Shop! 💕

The Discovery Shop provided all of the fabulous outfits, while their wonderful volunteers joined Riverview residents on the runway to show them off! Our Activities team got in on the fun, too, dressing in their fanciest attire while serving elegant parfaits and refreshing drinks. 🍓🥂

But the fashion show had one more surprise up its sleeve! 👀✨ All of the outfits and excitement culminated in a special surprise event at the end that you won’t want to miss!

The Spokane Journal of Business featured an article yesterday titled "Riverview Retirement Secures Accreditation". It spoke about RiverCare Home Care, Home for Hospice, and Home Health, which recently received its accreditation from the Accreditation Commission for Health Care!

Riverview Retirement secures accreditation Riverview Retirement Community has earned accreditation for its RiverCare home health division, expanding services to meet a surge in seniors who are choosing to age in place rather than move to a facility.

🎲🚶‍➡️ Strolling & Rolling Through the Game of Life! 🧑‍🦽🎲

Our annual Stroll & Roll was full of fun, fresh air, and a little friendly competition! This year, we transformed our course into a giant Game of Life gameboard, complete with a regular path and a “difficult” path for those ready to take on an extra challenge. 🎯

Residents and staff made their way around the course, and once they completed three laps, they earned this year’s Stroll & Roll T-shirt! 👕 We loved seeing everyone proudly sporting their shirts and cheering each other on along the way.

The fall wind was already making an appearance, but that didn’t stop us from getting outside and enjoying a beautiful day together. And for those who finished their laps—or simply came out to cheer from the sidelines—there was popcorn and lemonade waiting at the finish line! 🍿🍋

Thank you to everyone who came out to enjoy the fun, and show that life is meant to be enjoyed at every turn. 🧡💚💙

🎶 Riverview Presents: Andrew Repsold! 🎵

We were thrilled to welcome musician Andrew Repsold back to Riverview for his 4th yearly visit - and this time, he brought quite the musical lineup with him!

Andrew treated our residents to a wonderful performance featuring three instruments: the marimba, vibraphone, and drum set. Between songs, he gave us a closer look at each instrument and shared interesting tidbits about how they’re used, making the performance as educational as it was entertaining. Happy 100th birthday to Riverview resident, Victoria! 🥳🎈🎂

Today, Victoria's family and friends threw a birthday party for her in the Solarium to celebrate her 100th birthday! They set up the whole room with decorations, lovely rose-gold balloons, and served two amazing cakes. Thank you to Victoria's family for throwing such a fun party, and for inviting all of Victoria's friends to join in!
