It is easy for the chaos of the week to sweep us up and leave us rushing from one obligation to the next. Amid the daily hustle, we hope you can always find small moments of joy to carry you through.

On race day, joy is everywhere, from hearing cheers on the sidelines to the exhilaration of crossing the finish line. We know capturing that feeling looks a bit different during the rest of the year. Whether it is reminiscing over photos of past experiences, savoring a favorite cup of coffee before the day begins, or simply taking a pause to appreciate a beautiful sunset, we hope you find genuine joy in your week.

We invite you to share your favorite moment from this week with our community in the comments.

Every year, Team Bloomsday sponsors 36 of the top high school runners – the top two girls and boys – from local schools across the Greater Spokane region to represent our area at the Brooks West XC Championships.

These young athletes put in hundreds of miles and early morning hours to earn their spot, but it's your support as community donors that truly makes their journey possible. To ensure these high schoolers can compete on a regional stage without financial burden, Team Bloomsday covers all travel costs.

Here is exactly what your support provides:
🥘 $15 covers a runner's meal on the road
🎽 $35 sponsors an official competition singlet
🏨 $100 covers a hotel room for one night

When you give to Team Bloomsday, you aren't just funding a trip, you are directly sending Spokane's best young runners to show the West what our community is made of.

Building a healthier, stronger Spokane starts with supporting our youth. Running teaches perseverance, goal-setting, and healthy routines, while competing shows kids firsthand what they can achieve with dedication. But not every student has easy access to a starting line.

The Jr. Bloomsday Scholarship Fund was created to remove those barriers for local families. A $25 contribution sponsors an entry fee for one student, giving them full access to the race day experience.

Let's with the Jr. Bloomsday Scholarship Fund and help more local kids find their pace. Tap the links to learn more and sponsor a student today! 🏃‍♂️✨

Whether you're returning to running, or lacing up your shoes for the first time, easing into your routine is essential for long-term health and success. Below are two of our top tips for a smooth, enjoyable return to sport.

Walk-Run Intervals
Alternating between walking and running is an effective method to adapt tendons, muscles, and joints to increased impact without overloading the body. This could look like walking for one minute, jogging for two minutes, and repeating several times.

Go Easy to Go Fast
Start with a pace you can hold a conversation at. This ensures you're not pushing yourself too soon. Easing into your run allows your body to slowly adjust to the new activity, whereas starting too fast increases your risk of injuries.

We all want that Bloomsday PR, but the most important thing is that you're training in a way that's sustainable for your body. Run safe Spokane!

As the weekend draws to a close, it’s easy to let those "Sunday Scaries" creep in, but we prefer to focus on Sunday Smiles instead!

Looking back at photos from the course is always a quick reminder of what this community is all about: encouragement, perseverance, and shared joy.

Whether you spent today getting your training miles in or simply resting up with family, we hope your weekend brought you plenty of reason to smile.

How are you clearing your head and getting ready to tackle the week ahead? Tell us in the comments!

It's National Wildlife Day and here at Bloomsday we hope you all are able to take a moment and appreciate the natural beauty and diverse wildlife that surround us right here in the Inland Northwest.

Spokane’s scenic trails and riverbanks are home to native wildlife that make our community unique, with Riverside State Park standing out as a vital sanctuary for our local environment.

Following the recent wildfires, preserving and restoring these natural spaces is more important than ever. You can help protect these trails and habitats for future generations by supporting the Riverside State Park Foundation.

🌲 Join us in making a difference: Donate today at https://bit.ly/3TDkkfd. Every dollar goes to trail restoration and wildlife preservation efforts.
