How do you use your Nano?

It’s in the Coffee House collection, it’s a drop down option. We are winding down on our inventory of Coffee Date that beautiful soft blue so if you want one please don’t put it off.

It’s Jennifer’s birthday tomorrow so we thought we would do a soft drop of the Pumpkin Spice. It’s a pretty yellow that reminds us of New Gamboge. Perfect for fall!

Do you break in your new books?

I will do this to a used book if I see a wonky spine. Usually fixes it up pretty well.

I was inspired by a 1946 Army Inspector’s Kit. 10 pens safe as can be and a hidden pocket for stickers or other flat items.

If you’ve ever pulled one of your leather notebooks off the shelf and thought, “Oh no. Is that mold?” Don’t panic.

Most of the time, what you’re seeing is wax bloom.

Wax bloom happens when the waxes and oils in the leather work their way to the surface, especially when the leather has been sitting for a while or gets cold. It can leave this white, dusty-looking residue that looks a whole lot like mold.

Actual mold needs the right conditions to grow. Moisture, humidity, and low airflow are usually involved.

The good news is wax bloom is really easy to deal with.

Watch what happens when I work this leather back up. The difference at the end is pretty satisfying.
