🎉🎶 Spokane Valley’s biggest community festival is almost here, and there’s a lot happening all weekend.

Valleyfest kicks off Friday, September 25 with the Hearts of Gold Parade, followed by a full weekend of events at Mirabeau Point Park and CenterPlace.

Here’s what to expect:

🎶 Live music across three stages
🚗 Car show
🌎 CultureFest + community activities
🏃 5K + 10K River Run
🎣 Fishing + outdoor activities
🔬 STEAM showcase
♟️ Chess tournament

My band has even had the chance to play here in years past, so this one is always fun to see come back around.

🎨🎶 One of Spokane’s favorite neighborhood street fairs is back for its 24th year.

The South Perry Street Fair is happening Saturday, September 26 from 10 AM–7 PM, taking over Perry Street between 9th and 12th Avenue.

Here’s what to expect:

🎨 Local artists + handcrafters
🍴 Food vendors
🎶 Live music throughout the day
🎪 Stilt walkers, jugglers + buskers
👋 Thousands of people coming together in South Perry

One of the best parts? Proceeds go right back into South Perry neighborhood improvements, community events, and local nonprofits.

This is always one of my favorite Spokane events of the year, so I’ll definitely be down there.

🎃🍂 Fall is officially here in Spokane, which means one of Green Bluff’s biggest traditions is back.

The Beck’s Harvest House Fall Festival runs weekends from September 19 through October 31, with plenty of reasons to make the trip out to Green Bluff.

Here’s what to expect:

🎃 Pumpkin picking
🌽 Giant corn maze
🛝 Tire mountain + jump pad
🥧 Homemade pies
🍎 Seasonal drinks + local food trucks
🎟️ No farm admission fee

Funland wristbands are $12 online or $15 at the gate, and parking is $5. If you’re planning a weekend trip, booking ahead is probably a good idea since those lots can fill up fast.

Basically, if fall in Spokane isn’t complete without pumpkins, pie, and a trip to Green Bluff, this one belongs on the calendar 🍁

🌉⚡ Yes, the downtown Spokane zip line is still happening. It’s just taking a little longer than planned.

Here’s where things stand:

🚧 Construction is moving again
🏗️ Concrete footings are going in at the landing
🏙️ Work at the downtown takeoff point is expected to ramp up soon
📅 Construction could wrap later this fall
🌸 Grand opening is currently planned for spring

The delay actually comes with a pretty interesting piece of Spokane history. Crews ran into debris dating back to the Great Fire of 1889 buried beneath the hillside.

The good news? Work is moving again. Now we just have to see when Spokane finally gets its zip line.

👇 Would you ride a zip line under the Monroe Street Bridge - yes, no, or only if someone dares you?

☕🎲 North Spokane is getting a new coffee shop built around more than just coffee.

HoneySpell Cafe is coming to 10115 N. Newport Highway, taking over the former Hop Chaos Brewing space with plans to open sometime this fall.

Here’s what’s planned:

🎲 D&D + gaming clubs
♟️ Chess lessons
📚 Book swaps + journaling hours
🛍️ Wandering Vendor Wednesdays with local makers
☕ Coffee + a space designed to actually hang out

The goal is simple: create a place to hang out and connect beyond the bar scene, with bigger plans already in mind for the future.

👇 Okay, who’s adding this to their Spokane coffee rotation?

🌸 Spokane is getting a little more colorful this weekend.

The Spokane Dahlia Festival is happening September 19–20 at the Rosarium Garden Center and Event Venue, with two full days of flowers, local vendors, classes, and activities.

Here’s what to expect:

🌺 Dahlias in full bloom
🛍️ 35+ vendors
🌿 Five acres of gardens to explore
🎨 Classes + activities throughout the weekend
🎟️ Free admission
📍 9405 S. Williams Lane

Even if you’re not a huge garden person, this feels like one of those easy Spokane weekend stops that’s worth checking out while everything is in bloom.

🥗🚗 Spokane Valley is getting a new fast-food option, but this one is doing things a little differently.

Kindler’s is coming to 14816 E. Sprague Ave., with a completely gluten-free kitchen built around quick, made-from-scratch meals.

Here’s what’s coming:

🥗 Healthy bowls made from scratch
🍗 Chicken adobo + Korean beef
🍤 Lemongrass shrimp + teriyaki salmon
🥩 Steak + potatoes
🌾 A fully gluten-free kitchen
🚗 Drive-through + quick pickup

And Spokane Valley is just the beginning. A second location is already planned for the South Hill at 29th and Fisk.

There’s no exact opening date yet, so keep an eye out for updates.

🚌 The upstairs of Spokane’s downtown bus plaza has been mostly empty for years, and now there’s an $8.3 million plan to bring it back to life.

Spokane Transit just approved a major remodel of the Plaza’s second floor, with plans to reopen the space for public meetings and new uses.

Here’s what’s changing:

🏢 New office space in the upper rotunda
💻 New boardroom with remote meeting technology
🚌 Updated spaces for STA staff and operators
⚡ New HVAC + electrical upgrades
🖼️ Historical display near the upper rotunda

The bigger idea is to make better use of a space that’s been sitting mostly empty while also bringing the public back upstairs for meetings and exhibits.

Design is expected to wrap in 2027, with the project targeted for completion in 2028.

👇 Do you think this is a good use of the Plaza space?

🎨 One of Spokane’s best art markets is back this Saturday, and it’s completely free to check out.

The 33 Artists Market is happening September 12 from 11 AM–5 PM at Uprise Brewing, bringing together local artists at every stage of their careers.

Here’s what makes this one worth checking out:

🎨 Fine art + traditional craft
🖼️ Gallery-quality work in a casual market setting
🤝 Meet and talk directly with the artists
📍 Uprise Brewing in Spokane
🎟️ Free admission

What I like about this one is that you’re not just browsing art on a wall. You actually get to meet the people who made it, hear about their work, and support Spokane artists directly.

👇 Anyone planning to check it out this weekend?

🎡🎶 The Spokane County Interstate Fair is back, with concerts, carnival rides, rodeo, and plenty happening throughout the week.

This year’s fair runs through September 20, with a packed schedule of entertainment and special admission days.

Here’s what to expect:
🎤 Concerts from Gretchen Wilson, The Band Perry, Daughtry + Nate Smith
🤠 PRCA Rodeo
🚜 Truck + tractor pull
💥 Demo Derby
🎟️ Multiple free admission days throughout the fair
🐮 A brand-new mascot, Clover the Highland cow

And if carnival rides are part of your plan, presale bracelet pricing is only available before the gates open, so you’ll want to grab that ahead of time.

Between the concerts, fair food, rides, and apparently a very adorable Highland cow, there’s a lot happening this year.
