Did you know Tuesday was the first day of fall? It has certainly felt like autumn this week!

As we head into this new season, we find ourselves looking back with so much gratitude for a meaningful summer of seeing God on the move. So, here’s a little summer photo dump and some highlights from the summer:

🌳 Play at the Park brought our kids ministry to Gallagher Park every Thursday for crafts, bubbles, songs, games, and Bible stories. By the end of the summer, even our littlest attendees were confidently rattling off all nine fruits of the Spirit! More than 200 kids joined us throughout the summer to play and hear about Jesus.

🎶 Thursday Night Live gave us easygoing evenings of music and connection, from Bluegrass Night to Songwriters Night to Cover Tunes. We loved seeing the incredible talent of our Arbor musicians and sharing the evenings with friends from both inside and outside our church family.

🛍️ The Gigantic Sale for Missions was bigger than ever, taking over the church the week of July 27, with the sale running July 30–August 1. Around 200 volunteers came together with our community to raise a record amount for local and global missions, and we loved welcoming hundreds of shoppers through our doors.

☕️ Silver Brunch/Lunch gave our Arbor seniors a place to connect, enjoy a meal, and learn together, with topics ranging from photography with Professor Roger Varland to updates from Spring Arbor University with Matt Gin.

✏️The Back to School Bash helped provide school supplies and goodies to dozens of kids, donated tissues and disinfecting wipes to local teachers, and welcomed more than 200 people from our church and community.

🩵Baptisms & Dedications gave us one of our most joyful Sundays of the summer. Twelve people were baptized at the lake, and eight children were dedicated between our morning services and our Somerset gathering.

🏠 And, as a bonus, we got a brand-new roof! Along with that came several other meaningful building improvements that remind us that God continues to provide for His church.

Over 20 years ago while living in Franklin, Tennessee, I attended a small group called "The Empty Hands Fellowship" that met weekly in the early morning. This weekly sharing and challenge became A weekly pep rally for my walk in life and ultimately was where I received "a call" into Pastoral ministry. I've wanted to start a similar opportunity here at the Arbor Church for anyone interested in pursuing the holiness of God in their lives. So starting THIS Tuesday from 6:30-7:30 a.m. we are opening the Cafe early for a little something we are calling ...
Wesley's Covenant Coffee. Hundreds of years ago John Wesley wrote a Covenant Prayer that he prayed everyday. Come and see what God wants for your life!

We had the joy of celebrating eight child dedications and 12 baptisms on Sunday, Aug. 30! It was a full day of rejoicing starting with dedications at the church, and ending in more dedications and lake baptisms at Somerset Beach Campground & Retreat Center! Please continue to pray for these families and individuals as they grow in their walks with Jesus. 💙
