Currently celebrating its 21st year of operation, Bill Brown Elementary is the largest of the 17 elementary schools in Comal ISD.
The school serves approximately 675 students in grades PK–5... the best kids around! A friendly atmosphere, engaging instruction, effective communication, exceptional Specials offerings, and high levels of PTA participation/support each contribute to the school's vibrant culture. BBES is a special school in many ways. For example, it houses a Dual Language Program which currently provides K-3 students the opportunity to become bilingual and bi-literate in English and Spanish while developing understanding and appreciation for traditions and cultures other than their own.

Our 2nd graders are laser-focused during reading WIN time! Students are building fluency through echo reading and decodables while strengthening their comprehension with open-ended questions.
What an incredible Color Battle Pep Rally! Our students and staff brought the energy, school spirit, and excitement as we celebrated an amazing $80,000 fundraising milestone together, check out this incredible campus! BBES Color Battle was an absolute BLAST! Our entire campus came together to celebrate reaching our $80,000 fundraising goal, and the school was filled with color, school spirit, excitement, and an incredible sense of community all day long.

The parachute came out in PE, and our students had a blast with all kinds of creative games! From camping under the parachute with pretend s’mores to “nighty night” and climbing the mountain, it was a fun-filled day of movement and teamwork.

Our 5th graders are becoming STEM researchers in the library! Students are rotating through stations to research key discoveries made by a variety of STEM leaders and learn how their work has shaped the world around us.

Our 4th graders are digging deeper into sensory ideas and text structure! Students analyzed materials connected to the five senses and annotated texts to explore how and why animals and people use their senses to navigate the world.

Our 4th graders are putting their science skills to work as they investigate how to separate mixtures of matter! Students used a variety of science tools to test different methods and see which worked best.

Our 5th graders are putting their HMH reading skills to work as they use evidence from the text to answer questions and write RACE responses! Students are strengthening their comprehension while practicing how to clearly explain their thinking.
