Baron, a two-year-old Rottweiler, made his first visit to Rummy’s Beach Club with one big goal: learn how to enjoy the family pool back home! 🐾💦 Hopefully his next pool party happens right in his own backyard!

🌊 BARON CAME TO LEARN HOW TO SWIM!
Baron, a two-year-old Rottweiler, made his first visit to Rummy’s Beach Club with one big goal: learn how to enjoy the family pool back home! 🐾💦 Baron will happily hang out on their tanning ledge, but actually venturing out to swim was a different story. With a life jacket, plenty of patience, and some time to figure things out, this handsome boy showed us exactly what he’s capable of! He swam beautifully, had absolutely no problem putting his head underwater, and became more comfortable as the session went on. Jumping in might take a little more convincing, but for a first visit, Baron gave us a LOT to celebrate. Hopefully his next pool party happens right in his own backyard!
✨ Fun Fact: Rottweilers are powerful, driven working dogs, but being physically capable of swimming doesn’t automatically mean they’ll feel confident doing it. Building trust and creating positive experiences around the water can make a huge difference.

🚀 EIGHT MONTHS OLD AND ALREADY FLYING OFF THE DOCK!
Olive and Tito were back at Rummy’s Beach Club, and eight-month-old Olive is wasting absolutely NO time becoming a little pool superstar! 🐾💦 This mixed breed puppy figured out swimming almost immediately on her first visit, and now she’s jumping in left and right, launching after toys, and even taking off from the dock like she’s been doing this for years. You definitely have to keep an eye on the sky when Olive is around because you never know when she might come flying in! 😂 Tito, a two-year-old mixed breed, is taking things at a more relaxed pace. She loves getting into the water and gets caught up in Olive’s excitement, but she’s still building confidence when it comes to venturing farther in. Two completely different approaches, and both girls are making progress every time they visit!
✨ Fun Fact: Puppies can develop water confidence surprisingly quickly when swimming is introduced through play and positive experiences. The goal isn’t for every dog to progress at the same speed, but for each one to learn that the water is a safe and fun place to explore.
📍 Rummy’s Beach Club
Renly and Ryla had two whole hours of Rummy’s Beach Club fun! 🐾💦 And these two made the most of it. They even made plenty of time for exploring the yard and checking out everything happening beyond the fence. Sometimes the best plan really is to clear the schedule, grab your dogs, and spend a couple of hours doing exactly what makes them happy.

💙 SOMETIMES YOU JUST NEED TWO HOURS WITH YOUR DOGS!
Life has been BUSY lately, so mom decided it was time to block everything else out and give Renly and Ryla two whole hours of Rummy’s Beach Club fun! 🐾💦 And these two made the most of it. Ryla brought her usual big energy to the pool while Renly happily stuck to his favorite strategy: patrol the shallow end, rescue any toys within reach, and leave the serious swimming to somebody else. 😂 They even made plenty of time for exploring the yard and checking out everything happening beyond the fence. Renly finished things off with a Lamb Chop toy that he was VERY proud to claim as his own! Sometimes the best plan really is to clear the schedule, grab your dogs, and spend a couple of hours doing exactly what makes them happy.
✨ Fun Fact: Enrichment doesn’t have to look the same for every dog. Swimming, retrieving, sniffing, exploring, and simply investigating a new environment can all provide valuable physical or mental stimulation.

JoJo , the five-year-old Lab-Pit mix, came back for her second visit to Rummy’s Beach Club and somehow managed to turn the energy up EVEN MORE! 🐾💦 Her Beagle brother Elijah joined her for this visit too, although he was considerably less convinced that swimming needed to be on his agenda. 😂 These two couldn’t have more different approaches to pool day, and we loved getting to see both! Check them out!

🚀 JOJO JUST UNLOCKED THE WHOLE POOL!
JoJo, the five-year-old Lab-Pit mix, came back for her second visit to Rummy’s Beach Club and somehow managed to turn the energy up EVEN MORE! 🐾💦 This little black rocket was everywhere this time, swimming across the pool, jumping in again and again, chasing the action, and making sure nobody had a chance to get bored. Her Beagle brother Elijah joined her for this visit too, although he was considerably less convinced that swimming needed to be on his agenda. 😂 Mom spent some time introducing him to the water while JoJo continued putting on her one-dog aquatic sporting event around them. These two couldn’t have more different approaches to pool day, and we loved getting to see both!
✨ Fun Fact: High-drive dogs often need more than physical exercise alone. Combining activities like swimming with training, impulse control, and structured breaks can give both their bodies AND their brains a workout.

💙 ANOTHER FAMILY SWIM DAY FOR THE BOOKS!
Abby and Riley were back at Rummy’s Beach Club with mom and Grandma for another day of swimming, jumping, and making memories together! 🐾💦 Grandma has quickly become one of our favorite poolside regulars, although “poolside” might not be quite the right word because she’s perfectly happy getting right into the action! Between the dogs jumping in around everyone and plenty of family time in the water, this crew gave us another collection of sweet moments to capture. We always love having them here!
✨ Fun Fact: Dogs often become especially excited when returning to places they associate with their favorite activities. Familiar sights, smells, routines, and people can all become cues that tell them the fun is about to begin!

😂 LUCY WILL SWIM ON LUCY’S TERMS!
Apparently Lucy had a very specific plan for pool day, and the life jacket was NOT part of it. 🐾💦 While everyone else was getting ready, Lucy decided she wasn’t interested and initially wouldn’t even come into the pool area. No problem. We got started and let her make up her own mind. And eventually? Lucy walked right in, stepped into the pool completely on her own, and started swimming a lap like, “Excuse me, I’m hot and I’ve decided it’s time.” 😂 No prompting, no convincing, and no life jacket. Just Lucy making her own choices while we scrambled to grab the camera before we missed it. We love a girl who knows exactly what she wants!
✨ Fun Fact: Giving dogs choices can be a powerful confidence builder. Sometimes removing the pressure to participate gives a hesitant dog the space they need to decide they’re ready all on their own.

🐾 JUST TAFFY & STERLING BEING TAFFY & STERLING!
Sometimes we collect so many cute little moments that eventually they just need their own post! 💦 Taffy, the Staffordshire Terrier, and Sterling, the Husky, have very different ideas about the perfect Rummy’s Beach Club visit. Taffy is always ready for her time in the water, while Sterling is perfectly content exploring, playing, and enjoying everything happening outside the pool. Put it all together and you get these two simply doing what they do best: having fun their own way! We had a handful of these moments saved up, so consider this your Taffy & Sterling appreciation post. 🐾💙
✨ Fun Fact: Enrichment doesn’t have to mean swimming! Exploring new scents, running, playing, observing the environment, and investigating the yard can give dogs plenty of mental and physical stimulation too.
