We believe that the Church is called to be an example to the world of a place where the hungry are fed, where children feel at home, and where all people – regardless of history or background – are invited to meet the living God. We feel called to give our time and resources, more often than we think we should; worship, more than we don’t; and pray always.

Today, we give thanks for fathers, grandfathers, stepfathers, godfathers, foster fathers, fathers-to-be, spiritual fathers, and all paternal figures who nurture, guide, and love others with a father’s heart.
We also hold in prayer those who are grieving, longing to become fathers, missing loved ones, or carrying loss today.
May God bless, strengthen, and comfort all who celebrate and remember on this Father’s Day.

Welcome to the first issue of The Dove, Holy Comforter’s new Monthly Newsletter!
Each month, The Dove will help us stay connected as a parish family by sharing upcoming events, ministry highlights, parish updates, stories from our community, and ways to get involved in the life of the church.
Our hope is that this newsletter becomes more than a list of announcements. We hope it becomes a place where we celebrate what God is doing among us, learn more about one another, and continue to grow together in faith, love, and community.

🌟 Vestry Person of the Month: Linda Barry 🌟
We give thanks to God for Linda Barry and her faithful service to Holy Comforter. Linda played a key role in our Visioning Dove Gatherings by helping organize the events, graciously hosting several gatherings, and carefully taking notes at each one. Her dedication, hospitality, and commitment to listening to our parish community have been a tremendous blessing as we discern where God is leading us next.
Thank you, Linda, for sharing your gifts and serving our church with such care and faithfulness!

O Judge of the nations, we remember before you with grateful hearts the men and women of our country who in the day of decision ventured much for the liberties we now enjoy. Grant that we may not rest until all the people of this land share the benefits of true freedom and gladly accept its disciplines. This we ask in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
