Eleven hours.

That's how long the average U.S. electricity customer went without power in 2024, according to the Energy Information Administration, nearly double the annual average of the decade before.

Major storms drove most of that total, but the trend itself is the story: outage hours have been climbing nationally, not just in a handful of hurricane-prone states. It's a national average, so any single household's experience can look very different.

As outage hours trend upward, financing can help more households add battery backup on their own schedule, rather than waiting for the next storm to force the decision.

For years, rising home prices did a lot of the work for real estate investors. That tailwind is easing: ATTOM's latest report shows the share of mortgaged U.S. homes considered equity-rich fell to 43.3% in the first quarter of 2026, the lowest share since late 2021.

It's a modest slide from 44.6% the previous quarter, and the share of seriously underwater properties remains low at 3.2%, this isn't a crisis, just a cooling trend after several strong years.

With equity gains harder to count on, how a project or acquisition gets financed matters more than it did a year ago. Financing can help investors keep cash available for the next deal instead of tying it all up in one property.

This week, members of the Eos team visited the UC Berkeley campus as part of our participation in UDAX, Ripple's University Digital Asset Xcelerator.

Being on campus is a reminder of why we joined.

The program brings promising startups building on the XRP Ledger together with technical expertise, tailored mentorship and Ripple's global ecosystem, and it does so in one of the most active founder communities in the world.

For Eos, this is an opportunity to keep advancing the technology behind our financial solutions, learn alongside leading experts, and continue building a more accessible, efficient and innovative future for financing.

Thank you to the UDAX and Berkeley teams for the warm welcome. Swipe through for a look at the visit. We're just getting started.

Clear water doesn’t always tell the full story.

According to the CDC, about 1 in 5 sampled private wells had at least one chemical at levels that could affect health.

Testing is the first step. If the results show that a water treatment system is needed, financing can help make the project more manageable.

Trucking is often pictured as an industry of giant fleets, but the data tells a different story.

According to American Trucking Associations' American Trucking Trends 2025, 91.5% of carriers ran 10 or fewer trucks in 2024, and 99.3% ran fewer than 100 power units. Trucks moved 11.27 billion tons of freight that year, and ATA describes the industry as one made up of small businesses.

For a small carrier, adding or replacing a single truck is a major capital decision. Equipment financing can help operators spread that cost over time while keeping cash available for fuel, maintenance and payroll.

Hurricane season is a good time to look at how prepared a home really is.

According to the U.S. Energy Information Administration, Hurricane Milton left 3.4 million Florida electricity customers without power when it made landfall in October 2024. Storms that year led to the most hours without power in the United States in a decade. Each customer is an electricity account, which can be a household or a business, so the impact reached well beyond a single number.

For many Florida homeowners, battery backup is one part of a broader resilience plan, alongside a sound roof, storm protection for windows and a clear evacuation plan. It is also a significant investment, and financing can help spread that cost over time instead of waiting for the next storm to decide.

Home improvement remains a major part of the U.S. housing market.

Annual spending on renovations and repairs is projected to reach $519 billion by mid-2027, according to the Harvard Joint Center for Housing Studies.

For homeowners planning larger projects, financing can make costs more manageable while helping preserve cash flow.

Fix-and-flip activity continues to represent a meaningful part of the U.S. housing market.

During the first quarter of 2026, investors flipped 64,348 single-family homes and condominiums, accounting for 8% of all residential sales nationwide.

Behind each project is a time-sensitive cycle of acquisition, renovation and resale. Access to capital can help investors move with greater speed, complete improvements and prepare for the next opportunity.

In a market where timing and ex*****on directly affect returns, the right financing structure can be just as important as identifying the right property.

Equipment financing is not an exception in American business. It is a fundamental part of how companies invest.

More than eight in ten U.S. companies use some form of financing when acquiring equipment. In 2023 alone, approximately $1.34 trillion in equipment and software investments were financed.

For businesses, financing can provide access to essential equipment while preserving working capital for payroll, operations, inventory and growth. It allows companies to invest in the tools they need without concentrating the entire cost at the time of purchase.

The right financing structure can turn equipment acquisition into a strategic business decision.

Home charging is more than a matter of convenience. It can also deliver meaningful long-term savings.

According to the U.S. Department of Energy, drivers may save between $800 and $1,000 per year by charging an electric vehicle at home instead of fueling a gasoline-powered vehicle.

For many households, however, the transition also requires an investment in charging equipment and professional installation. Financing can help incorporate those costs into a more manageable plan, making it easier to begin benefiting from home charging sooner.

As electric mobility expands, the home is becoming an increasingly important part of the transportation infrastructure.
