True fellowship requires personal investment. Believers who complain about a lack of connection often overlook their own lack of participation. Are you attending Bible studies and evening services? Godly relationships take time to mature. When we rush to switch churches over minor offenses, we short circuit the sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit. There are certainly biblical reasons to leave a church, such as doctrinal error or unaddressed sin. But if the Word is faithfully preached, consider the immense value of staying in place. Is your desire to leave your church based on biblical conviction or consumer preferences? Modern culture treats the local church like a cafeteria, encouraging believers to move on when their personal desires are not met. But true spiritual growth requires staying faithful to a local church, especially through dry seasons. Before you walk away, examine your motives. Are you seeking God's glory or your own comfort? Right doctrine without a yielded heart makes a mockery of what you claim to believe. It is entirely possible to maintain a highly active religious life while your soul is in desperate trouble. If there is a gap between your public profession and your private devotion, you are walking in hypocrisy.
