chabod Crane has received some deeply disturbing news.
Apparently, despite living in his own private suite, receiving room service multiple times a day, and having humans available to provide scratches and affection…
this is still not enough.
Crane has reviewed the terms of his residency at Copper’s Cat Commune and discovered several serious deficiencies:
Food bowls occasionally become partially empty.
Humans sometimes leave the room.
Petting sessions have, inexplicably, been known to end.
His attorneys have been notified.
Until these matters are resolved, Crane will continue his peaceful protest by sitting dramatically, staring into the middle distance, and periodically SCREAMING LIKE A MAN WHO HAS BEEN ABANDONED IN THE WILDERNESS.
Please respect his privacy during this difficult time.
Also, bring snacks. 😂🐾

🚨 A MESSAGE FROM MR. CHIBBS 🚨
Please do not be fooled by reports that Mr. Chibbs is “doing well” in his foster home.
He is enduring.
Each morning, Mr. Chibbs awakens to the crushing realization that once again, no one has brought him breakfast on a silver platter.
He is forced to sleep on soft beds.
He is subjected to unsolicited affection.
His meals arrive at scheduled times rather than whenever he happens to think about food.
And, most horrifying of all, he is expected to live among people who occasionally tell him no.
Somehow, he carries on.
Look into those eyes.
That is the face of a cat who has suffered hardships you could never comprehend.
Please keep Mr. Chibbs in your thoughts during this difficult time as he continues his brave struggle against comfort, safety, love, and an appalling lack of servants.
No flowers, please. Send treats. 😂

Casper would like everyone to know that he is exhausted. 😴
Being this round is a full-time job. There are meals to eat, naps to take, people to supervise, and an entire body to groom when your tongue can only reach approximately 63% of it.
Thankfully, Casper has staff for the rest. 😂
Here we see him after another grueling day at Copper’s Cat Commune, spilling gracefully over the edge of his bed like a biscuit that rose a little more than the pan anticipated.
Rest up, sweet butterball. You’ve earned it. 🧡🐾

Caduceus would like everyone to know that he is handsome, charming, extremely helpful, and absolutely has never launched himself onto an unsuspecting person’s shoulder without permission.
He also does NOT lick people directly on the face with his tiny sandpaper tongue.
Those are vicious rumors.
This is clearly the face of an innocent, respectable gentleman who can be trusted at all times.
Clearly. 😂🐾

😛 Tongue-Out Tuesday featuring Betty White 😛
Betty White would like everyone to know that this is not a blep.
This is a carefully crafted facial expression intended to communicate her feelings about humans, breakfast service, and the general state of the world.
Unfortunately, no one speaks fluent Betty.
Our best translation so far is:
"The food bowl is only 87% full."
Or possibly:
"I saw you looking at me."
Or:
"I accepted your donation of snacks. Do not mistake this for friendship."
As one of Copper's Cat Commune's longtime feral residents, Betty has spent years perfecting the art of looking simultaneously adorable, unimpressed, and mildly offended. Today she has elevated that skill by adding a tiny tongue for emphasis.
Happy from Betty White, who remains committed to maintaining a safe social distance of approximately 12 feet... unless you're carrying treats. 🐾🤍😛

Butters has two very different personalities.
At home, Butters is a man of mystery. Independent. Aloof. Busy with important Butters business. He does not require your attention, thank you very much. Please admire him from an appropriate distance.
Take him out in public?
Suddenly he is running for mayor.
“HELLO, STRANGER! Have we met? No? WELL, WE SHOULD. Please pet me. Tell me I’m handsome. Would you like to hear my life story? Have you noticed I’m adorable? You should probably take my picture.”
This cat will go to an event and work the room like he has donors to impress and votes to secure, then come home and act like he’s never seen us before in his life.
Apparently the people who feed him, clean him, express his bladder, wash his butt, and provide him with free housing are simply the staff.
The general public?
His adoring fans.
We know our place, Butters. 😂💛

Today is Grandparents Day, and somehow I am lucky enough to have seven little people who call me Grandma Dot. 💕
Six boys and one precious baby girl — a whole lot of noise, laughter, energy, hugs, chaos, and love.
Being a grandparent is such a funny kind of magic. You get to watch pieces of the people you love most show up in a whole new generation. You get the cuddles, the silly conversations, the big personalities, and the privilege of watching these little humans become exactly who they are meant to be.
They are all so different, and I love each of them for exactly who they are.
I hope someday, when they are grown, they know that there was never a moment when I wasn't completely crazy about them.
Seven grandchildren. Six boys. One little girl. And one very, very lucky grandma. ❤️
Happy Grandparents Day to me. 🥰 - Mimi

I know, I know… I’ve been a terrible cat-page person lately. 😂
I’m sorry I’ve been so quiet on here. I recently took on a new position at work, and apparently learning a new job, working full-time, and running a house full of cats uses up approximately 147% of my available energy.
By the time I get home, the Commune residents have their own list of demands, and somewhere between feeding cats, cleaning up after cats, medicating cats, and being personally victimized by cats, posting on socials keeps falling off the list.
Everyone is still here doing their usual thing — causing chaos, demanding snacks, creating laundry, and contributing absolutely nothing financially to this operation.
I promise I’m going to try to do better about sharing what’s going on around here.
In the meantime, please enjoy this ridiculously cute picture of Riker as compensation for my absence.
He has contributed nothing toward the mortgage, but at least he’s pretty. 😂❤️

11 years ago today, my whole life changed.
I didn't know it at the time, of course.
I just knew there was a tiny, six-week-old kitten who couldn't use his back legs and needed someone to help him.
His name was Aries.
He came into my life on August 23, 2015, and promptly turned everything I thought I knew about cats, disability, rescue—and probably myself—completely upside down.
Aries wasn't supposed to be the beginning of anything. He was just one little kitten who needed me.
But he became everything.
He taught me that a broken body doesn't mean a broken life. That "special needs" doesn't have to mean sad. That wheels aren't required when you've got determination, attitude, and two perfectly good front legs. And that sometimes the animals who need a little more from us somehow give us more than we ever knew we needed.
Because of Aries, I learned how to care for a paraplegic cat.
Because of Aries, I learned there were so many others like him who needed somewhere to go.
And because of Aries, eventually there was Copper's Cat Commune.
Hundreds of lives have crossed ours over the years. Cats who were paralyzed, incontinent, diabetic, blind, feral, elderly, medically complicated, behaviorally difficult—or simply out of options.
Aries started all of it.
And through everything, he remained exactly who he had always been: my beautiful, ridiculous, stubborn, happy boy with that enormous smile and a personality far bigger than the little body carrying it.
I wish I could tell the woman I was 11 years ago what was about to happen.
I'd tell her, Pick him up. Take him home. You're going to have absolutely no idea what you're doing.
Do it anyway.
Because that tiny kitten is going to change your life.
And someday, long after you've had to say goodbye to him, you'll look around at everything that exists because he lived—and realize that somehow, he's still changing it.
Happy Gotcha Day, Aries. ❤️
