What if the thing you keep calling a “struggle” is actually something God is asking you to surrender?

It’s easy to justify sin by calling it our personality, our habits, or just “the way I am.” But repentance means being willing to call sin what it is and give it to Jesus.

And maybe for you, it’s bitterness. Maybe it’s unforgiveness. Because holding onto what someone did to you doesn’t keep them in bo***ge. It keeps you there.

So what have you justified that God is asking you to surrender?

You have permission to stop. The sky will not fall, your inbox will survive, and God was doing just fine running the universe before you got here. Worship styles evolve, but His worth remains unchanged. Whether it's the Jesus movement, '90s choruses, or stadium worship, He is always worthy. The danger lies in letting personal preference dictate our response. His worth transcends generations and trends.

Sometimes we can treat prayer like a Whopper order: God, I’d like this… exactly like this… and I’d like it right now, please.

But prayer was never meant to be a way for us to get God to do what we want. The most effective prayers are prayers that come from a righteous heart and seek God’s will, not just our own.
