Last week, we had the pleasure of welcoming the new President of the Springboro Chamber, Tracy Morgan, to Schmidt Auto Care!

It was a pleasure giving Tracy a tour of our shop and introducing her to our incredible team. We’re excited to work alongside her as we continue supporting and strengthening the Springboro community.

Fun Fact Friday!

Did you know cruise control was invented because of a frustrating car ride? 😄

Mechanical engineer Ralph Teetor came up with the idea after noticing his lawyer would speed up while talking and slow down while listening. After one too many inconsistent rides, he decided there had to be a better way!

His invention became the cruise control we know today, helping drivers enjoy smoother road trips, more consistent speeds, and even better fuel efficiency.

👋 Meet James Bandkau, our ASE Master Certified Technicians, and our shop foreman!!!

James chose a career as a technician because he knew one thing for certain—cars will always be around. That mindset has served him well throughout his career, and today he brings 25 years of automotive experience to the Schmidt Auto Care team.

When asked what his favorite vehicles are to work on, James said well maintained vehicles, and the ones that aren't "problem children!" 😄

Outside of the shop, James enjoys spending time with his wife, traveling, fishing, and hunting. We're always excited when he comes back from one of his trips because there's a good chance he'll bring some tasty goodies to share with the team!

What James enjoys most about Schmidt Auto Care is the owners (so sweet, James ;) ) and the 4 day work week. He appreciates being part of a team that values both hard work and a healthy work life balance.
