A new school year is just around the corner, and we’re excited to introduce the amazing team of parents who will be serving our Five Points Elementary community this year!

We’re looking forward to a year filled with connection, encouragement, and opportunities to support our incredible students, teachers, staff, and families. From family events and teacher appreciation to fundraising and creating memorable experiences, we’re grateful for the chance to serve alongside so many wonderful volunteers.

Camp Kern will be here before we know it! Please mark your calendars for our Camp Kern Parent Meeting

🗓️Tuesday, August 18th
6:30pm in the Five Points Cafeteria

Below is some IMPORTANT info and changes that could occur IF we don’t have enough chaperones.

To provide appropriate supervision, we must have at least two parent chaperones per cabin; each cabin will hold approximately eight to ten students. Chaperones must be a legal guardian of a child attending Camp, and they will be required to attend an “Expectations of a Chaperone” meeting (Wednesday, September 23rd, 6:30 p.m., Five Points cafeteria) prior to leaving for Camp.

If we are unable to secure enough overnight chaperones, at least TWO WEEKS PRIOR to the date of departure of the first trip, September 28th, this trip will be MOVED to an extended DAY TRIP for all fifth-grade Five Points students. Because of this, it is vital that if you have any intentions of being a chaperone for camp, you must get your FBI/BCI fingerprinting completed this summer. The results of the fingerprinting MUST be back before you will be permitted to attend camp. The process of getting results often takes several weeks, typically between 4-6.

🗓️“Expectations of a Chaperone” Meeting - Wednesday, September 23rd, 6:30 p.m., Five Points cafeteria, required for all overnight chaperones

🏕️September 28-30, 2026… classes - Messinger, Tamillo, Messer, Brooks & Kronour
🏕️September 30-October 2, 2026 … classes - Smith, Tsamasiros, Staples, Goodwin & Phillips

As we wrap up Teacher Appreciation Week, we are reminded that our staff truly means “Everything to Us.”

Today is Supply the Stars at Five Points!

As we wind down the school year, we know many teachers are running low on supplies and often have to purchase items out of their own pockets as once-full shelves begin to empty. Whether they need a few extra pencils and markers, glue sticks for end-of-the-year projects, or games for those much-needed brain breaks and moments of fun — we’ve got them covered.

And of course, a Hollywood-themed celebration wouldn’t be complete without a concession stand! Here’s to enjoying some favorite sugary treats that are just as sweet as all of you.
