🏆 MVP of the Month - Staff Spotlight 🏆

Please join me in congratulating Mr. Jacob Cruse as the September MVP staff member! Mr. Cruse consistently displays an upbeat & caring attitude. He put in many extra hours helping out at the school and in the classroom to prepare for the school year. He serves as a CPI instructor, sharing his expertise and experience with others and greets each student during morning arrival. We are grateful for the energy, care, and heart he brings to SASED Central.

We are so proud of the way she has adjusted to increased expectations, changes to her schedule, and more group instruction. Way to go, Jamie! Keep shining, keep leading, and keep being an amazing part of our school family!

Behind every AMAZING school is an AWESOME team, & this is ours! It was a great first day for SCS students and staff 💚🧡

For the past three days, SASED Central staff have been hard at work preparing as a team for the upcoming school year. We are excited to see all our students tomorrow!

SASED Central summer school staff and students wore their green/teal today in support of our students with Fragile X Syndrome. Fragile X syndrome (FXS) is a genetic disorder caused by a mutation in the FMR1 gene. It is the most common inherited cause of intellectual disabilities and the single most common known genetic cause of autism.

We closed out the school year with Fun Day! Students enjoyed a cookout, snow cones, bounce houses, playground time, yard games, hamster balls, & interacting with some exotic animals thanks to a parent donation. A special thank you to Ms. Rachel for organizing such a good time!

SCS has the wonderful, end of the year tradition of a staff selfie after the last student leaves. I challenge you to find a more caring staff than those pictured here. These individuals have tremendous patience and choose care & love over judgement every single day. I’m so grateful to work with each of them!

Introducing our “Substitute of the Year”, Mr. Kevin Williams! Mr. Williams has worked three days a week this school year to ensure consistent education for our students. He has willingly filled in as a paraprofessional or teacher in almost every single classroom in the school. Mr. Williams is a reliable, hard worker with tons of patience. The students love him, & we are so lucky he’s committed to SASED Central! Thank you & congratulations to Mr. Williams!
