P.U.R.R. is a (soon to be) nonprofit organization that feeds and cares for homeless/feral cats.
Sorry for my absence, I am just completely overwhelmed. I took in another potentially pregnant cat. I am tapped out physically, emotionally, mentally, and financially; but rescue doesn't stop despite all that. I'm at the point where I have to make financial decisions, and those decisions usually end up with me living off bare minimum food rations because what else can give? This is why rescues fall apart and fail. There's not enough time, money, and resources; and too many animals that need help. Anyway, meet DJ.
Ladies and Gentlemen, Kiki has left the building to her forever home. While I may be bawling my eyes out right now, this is an amazing thing. She will be spoiled rotten, and I have an empty room to help another kitty of the need arises. We cuddled for an hour last night (pictures in comments); and I explained to her that, even though I love her, it's the best thing for everyone.
I posted about Kiki awhile back. She got lose back in November, and I was able to catch her and bring her back to her owner. She "got lose" again in March; and I, once again, was able to catch her. But her owners had moved and couldn't have pets. So I brought her home, unexpectedly; and set her up in my office. After about a week, I noticed something was wrong with her tail. Toon her to the vet... It was broken. Someone had tugged on it so hard, that they detached the tail from the rest of her spine. 😭 She's on it on an oral medicine to help his discomfort, but it doesn't really seem to bother her. Thank goodness! She is a very sweet cat, but I do not want to keep her. The more cats in my house, the less I can help in the future. But today, she met a potential adopter! She will be going to her new forever home on Tuesday!
We're opening our eyes and putting on steady weight over here! Sleeping so soundly, we're twitching in our sleep. 🥰

There's no account for emergencies. There's no account period. Any medical treatment that needs to be done comes directly out of my pocket. I am single, own a house, have other pets, have a car that needs work. Every extra expense means me choosing something else to not pay. I don't like asking for help. I'm a very strong, independent woman. And admitting that I cannot do something takes a lot for me to do.
Please help if you can. I'm not trying to steal money from people. I'm trying to be able to continue what I'm doing, because there's a good chance it will all have to stop soon due to no funds.

UPDATE: We are back home. Mama Math does have a fever. They did a scan to rule out any lingering fetuses, because they were worried about that. The scan did show that she's very constipated, even though she has been pooping. So she got an e***a at the ER and went home with antibiotics for the next 7 days. I'm heading to bed for an hour and a half nap before I have to get up for work!
Well, everyone, I'm at the ER with Mama Math. I noticed she was breathing quite heavily with some open mouth breathing. This is not even remotely in the budget, but the kittos need their mama!
