🍬 Medicines and supplements can look just like candy to a child. In Ohio, poison centers handled more than 38,000 exposures involving children age 5 and under in 2022, many involving medications. Store medicines up, away, and out of sight to help prevent a poisoning emergency.

πŸ’œ Overdose Awareness Month starts today! We will be sharing some important overdose information throughout the month, and today, we are focusing on signs. Knowing the signs of an overdose could help save a life.

🚨 Watch for: β€’ Unresponsiveness or inability to wake up
β€’ Slow, shallow, or stopped breathing
β€’ Blue, gray, or pale lips and fingertips
β€’ Choking, gurgling, or snoring-like sounds
β€’ Limp body or loss of consciousness

This August, let's raise awareness, reduce stigma, and empower our communities with lifesaving knowledge. Every conversation matters. Every life matters.

Every young person deserves the chance to grow up feeling safe, supported, and full of hope. At Clark County Partners in Prevention, we believe that when a community comes together, real change becomes possible.

We work alongside dedicated community members to help youth build resilience, make healthy choices, and stay substance-free. Our mission is not just about prevention β€” it is about inspiration. We want every young person to see a future worth protecting.

No one should have to face these challenges alone. Whether you are a parent, a young person, or simply someone who cares about your community, there is a place for you here.

Together, we can create environments where youth feel seen, valued, and empowered to thrive.

What does a healthy, supportive community look like to you? We would love to hear your thoughts. πŸ’¬

As we finish up our time at the 2026 Clark County Fair, we want to remind our community to always store THC gummies safely and away from children and that cannabis can be seen in many common foods/candy! Let's all work together to ensure our children are safe!
