Yesterday, our teachers gathered in the new collaboration space in our new building, and the excitement is real! We're learning, planning, and sharing ideas so we can give our students the very best experience this school year. Reed Teachers Marti Jones, Jen Goode, and Mary Kate Szymaniak partnered with the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce to learn about local job opportunities for students. They explored local businesses and learned about soft skills needed to be successful in the workforce post high school graduations. Key takeaways were safety, collaboration, attendance, and willingness to grow and learn. Here in Springfield there are so many amazing companies that are willing to grow their employees and this community! Thank you Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce for opening the door to this opportunity!
