As the 2026 Clark County Fair comes to a close, we’d like to congratulate all of our exhibitors on an outstanding week of hard work, dedication, and sportsmanship.
Thank you for representing the Springfield-Clark CTC FFA Chapter with pride both in and out of the show ring. Your countless hours of preparation, commitment to your projects, and willingness to support one another did not go unnoticed.
We are incredibly proud of each of you and all that you accomplished throughout the fair. Congratulations on a fantastic week, and thank you for being such outstanding ambassadors for agricultural education and FFA.
To our senior exhibitors who have finished showing, the barn might be a little quieter and a little more empty now that your time in the ring has come to a close. We are so incredibly proud of the hard work, early mornings, late nights, and dedication you have poured into your projects over the years.
As you close this chapter of your FFA journey in the show ring, know that your impact will be felt long after the fair ends. The memories you’ve made, the friendships you’ve built, and the lessons you’ve learned will stay with you as you move forward into your next adventure.

It’s been a busy few days preparing for the fair, but the Clark County Fair is off to a great start for our SCCTC members!
Congratulations to Gabriella Halderman on earning a $300 scholarship and being named 1st Runner Up in the 2026 Clark County Fair Queen Contest. We are so proud of your hard work, dedication, and outstanding representation of SCCTC. Wishing all exhibitors continued success throughout the fair!

From the Vet Sci Lab to the Ohio Statehouse 🐾🏛️ Recent alum and former FFA Officer, Gabby Halderman, spent a day shadowing State Senator Kyle Koehler!

I had the privilege of having Gabriella Halderman shadow my office in Columbus today. Gabriella is a recent Clark CTC graduate who is heading to Sinclair Community College to be a Veterinary Technician.

Besides being in 4H, she is also a Clark County Fair Queen candidate who drove all the way to Columbus, just to see how government works up close.

Among other things, she attended a Controlling Board hearing where we discussed how we are spending your tax dollars. She also met the Ohio House Clerk and the Senate President’s Chief of Staff.

Gabby and I discussed legislation I have worked on regarding everything from farm equipment on highways to the # of chicks you’re allowed to buy at a farm store.

I also asked her to review House Bill 664 that would expand her responsibilities as a Vet Tech. It just passed the Ohio House and we will hold hearings in the Senate when we return in the Fall.

I am excited to see someone genuinely interested in how government works. Her enthusiasm made a long day a little brighter.

Friday’s adventure = smiles, laughter, and learning at the Columbus Zoo! 🐾🦒 Junior Vet Science and Forestry students had an unforgettable day exploring wildlife, discovering new animals, and making memories together. From curious questions to excited reactions, it was a trip full of wonder! 🌿✨

Four senior vet science students competed this week at Indian Lakes Livestock Judging Contest, hosted at the Logan County Fairgrounds. Although the weather was inclement and tornado warnings added an extra layer of excitement, the contestants gained valuable experience and demonstrated strong sportsmanship throughout the competition.

Our FFA officers and chapter members had the opportunity to participate in a county-wide Donkey Ball event! A HUGE thank you to Southeastern FFA for hosting such a fun night and all of the sponsors! 💙🫏💛
