Summer Street Quartet

Our quartet coaching journey continues with another incredible session thanks to the one and only Darin Drown, who so generously shared his care and time and knowledge with us late on a Sunday night AFTER a full weekend of coaching several other ensembles. Let the good times roll... right after a quick nap 😴

As we prepare to sing on the Friday night coaching ensemble show here at Harmony University, we couldn't step on the stage without thanking the support team we've been relying on all week to push us, care for and with us, and guide us as we explored our possibilities and vulnerabilities as a quartet. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you all for being present, patient, and playful with us!!!

Pinch us, we must be dreaming. Yeah, we expected to have some incredible, transformational coaching this week (which we will praise-vomit about later, ), but then there's bonus moments like being asked to and happily sharing some of our genuine, evolving quartet journey in classes/lessons like "Discovering Your Ensemble's Musical Identity." Filled with gratitude for the giving nature of faculty, coaches, staff, and attendees here this week as we make new connections of all kinds!

Secret's out, thanks to the amazing Barbershop Harmony Society videos being posted from here in Denver at Harmony University :) I mean, it wasn't ever really a secret, but we're having an AMAZING time in the quartet coaching track program and also taking advantage of other fascinating and informative classes throughout the day. This is us after three straight hours of coaching for the second day in a row. Jordan was the only one not too tired to keep practicing being authentic for the audience, hence his very honest facial expression. 🫪

Haven't posted in a while, but we simply had to share the amazing news that we had the privilege of crossing the Barbershop Harmony Society - Northeastern District (NED) southern regional stage tonight along with so many of our friends in so many fabulous quartets AND achieved our highest score to date - an 80.6 overall!! Looking forward to both our adventure to Harmony University in the quartet coaching track this summer and the district contest in the fall. Exciting things coming 😁
