What 2% Dehydration Does to Your Gym Performance
You can be only 2% dehydrated and still feel “fine” but your gym performance may already be taking a hit. 💧🏋️♂️
Dehydration can affect blood flow, cardiovascular strain, oxygen delivery and exercise performance. The difference between starting hydrated and waiting until you feel thirsty can matter more than you think.
Would you drink water before training, or only when you get thirsty? 👀
Training to failure or stopping short? The answer might surprise you. 💀💪
Going to complete failure can recruit a huge amount of muscle, but doing it on every set can also increase fatigue and make recovery harder. Stopping around two reps short can still provide strong muscle fiber recruitment while helping you maintain training volume throughout the week.
For many lifters, the smartest approach isn’t choosing one side. Use reps in reserve for most sets and push closer to failure when it actually makes sense, especially on your final sets.
So what’s your style: train to failure or keep reps in reserve? Drop your answer below. 🦴🔥
