Santa Margherita, summer home to author Giuseppe Tomasi di Lampedusa. His book “il Gattopardo” (the Leopard) became a movie in 1963 and is now a Netflix series. Next to his summer palace, the mother church, destroyed by the 1968 earthquake, is now the Museum of Memory, with photographs and the history of the earthquake. On a Sicilian Encounters trip, you will definitely spend time in this quaint historic town.
It’s not Paolo’s birthday, just a day to show him some love. He is not only our driver. He does so much more for our travel guests. IYKYK. Love you Paolo!
