The Enos Park Neighborhood Garden is always the best place to relax and connect with nature in Springfield. They do amazing things for the community!
Enos Park Neighborhood Gardens celebrates 15th anniversary As a not-for-profit organization, the garden relies on volunteers to w**d, water and harvest each week. Those who help in the garden get first dibs on the produce picked.
Shoppers in Central Illinois are feeling the pinch of rising costs. But, they are also getting creative. I talked to several people at the grocery store yesterday and they shared tips like:
-Kroger digital coupons
-Money back apps (like fetch)
-Stocking up when there are deals
-Carpooling to work
-Unplugging appliances when not in use
-Buying bulk products and splitting with friends.

Motion to reconsider Sean Grayson murder sentence denied The former Sangamon County sheriff's deputy was convicted of second-degree murder in October 2025 for the police killing of Sonya Massey after she dialed 911 to report a prowler at her home.
It's been almost six months since Decatur Area Habitat for Humanity ceased operations without explanation. The board said in November, this was a temporary pause. But we still don't know why the closure happened and if the organization is still operating.

Residents in Kincaid received letters saying the village found elevated lead levels in the water. They are wondering why no one said something sooner.
