Today’s job was a 2000 Chevy S-10 4.3L Vortec that was a crank/no-start.

After performing a proper diagnosis, I found the fuel pressure wasn’t meeting specification and recommended the following repairs:

✅ Fuel Pump Replacement
✅ Fuel Filter Replacement
✅ All 6 Spark Plugs Replaced
✅ New Fuel Pump Electrical Pigtail Installed

This job was completed right in the customer’s garage—no tow truck, no shop visit required.

The driver’s side center spark plug on these Vortec engines isn’t exactly fun (the steering shaft has to be moved for access), but that’s just part of doing the job correctly.

I believe in diagnosing first instead of guessing. Replacing parts without testing gets expensive. A proper diagnosis helps ensure you’re fixing the actual problem.

🔧 2012 Ford Explorer – Complete Rear Suspension Rebuild 🔧

Another major suspension overhaul completed here at Clark’s Garage!

This 2012 Ford Explorer came in with excessive wear throughout the rear suspension. After a complete inspection, we performed a full rear suspension rebuild to restore safe handling, stability, and ride quality.

✅ Repairs Performed:
• New loaded rear knuckle assemblies (includes new wheel bearings and bushings)
• New rear lower control arms
• New rear upper control arms
• New rear trailing arms
• New rear toe adjustment arms
• New rear sway bar end links
• New rear shocks

Sometimes replacing complete loaded knuckle assemblies is the best long-term repair. It eliminates worn bearings and bushings all at once, providing a stronger, more reliable suspension while saving labor compared to pressing individual bushings.

🔧 2020 Nissan Sentra SR – Complete Brake Service 🚗

Another vehicle safely back on the road!

This 2020 Nissan Sentra SR came in with worn brake components. After an inspection, I recommended replacing the brake pads and rotors on all four corners to restore safe braking performance.

Services Performed:
✅ Replaced front brake pads & rotors

✅ Removed four locking wheel lug nuts using a specialty extraction tool
✅ Installed a new set of standard lug nuts

This 2012 Dodge Durango 5.7L Gen III HEMI came in for a cooling system service and maintenance.

✅ Replaced water pump
✅ Replaced thermostat
✅ Hand-cut and installed a custom thermostat gasket for a perfect fit
✅ Engine oil & filter change
✅ A/C system performance check
✅ Cooling system refilled and bled

The old water pump had reached the end of its life, so a new unit was installed along with a fresh thermostat to help keep this HEMI running at the proper operating temperature. Everything was cleaned, gasket surfaces were properly prepped, and the cooling system was reassembled with attention to detail.
