Birthday Cake Kits for Blackhawk School

One of the beautiful things about ministry is that sometimes sharing God’s love looks as simple as helping a child celebrate their birthday.

We’re putting together 50 birthday cake kits for children at Blackhawk School, and we’d love for our church family to help us make each one special.

Each kit will include:

• A sturdy Reynolds cake pan with a clear lid. We specifically need the thicker Reynolds pans because the thinner Dollar Tree pans tend to fall apart when children are carrying them.
• Cake mix
• A tub of icing
• A 12 oz. Sprite

A couple of important details:
Please make sure the expiration dates are June 2027 or later.

We’re also asking for general birthday cards, rather than cards specifically for boys or girls. The same goes for icing colors. We want every kit to be interchangeable so that any child can receive any kit without us having to sort through them looking for a particular color or card.

Our hope is that these little birthday kits will do more than provide a cake. We want each child to know that they are seen, valued and loved. What may seem like a simple cake mix and a birthday card to us can be a beautiful opportunity to show the love of Christ in a very practical way.
