We're getting super excited for September's edition of "First Friday" and want to welcome our newest Artist to Hatch, Elizabeth Connor.
Elizabeth's passion for handweaving emerges from a lifelong devotion to cultural heritage, craftsmanship, and community.
Her career began with a dual degree in History and Art History, followed by curatorial and educational roles at museums across the globe.
She has collaborated with institutions such as the Smithsonian, the Ohio Arts Council, and the American Museum Association believing that art is most powerful when it invites participation.
She views weaving as both a meditative act and a communal one: a way to honor the past while creating space for new stories.
