My students had a blast at Music Fun Day today! It was 4 hours of music appreciation & theory, presented in a fun way. Thank you, parents, for allowing me the opportunity to be part of their musical journey! Now time for a nap... 😁

I'm so excited for our annual Music Fun Day tomorrow!!
Please have your child wear sneakers and put sunscreen on. Have them bring a water bottle to stay hydrated and also a bagged lunch.
We'll be playing lots of games that include music theory, rhythm and sight reading. Also, back by demand.... a music escape room!!

Super smile from a super student! Wow, another lesson book passed. This one took 9 months because he decided he wanted extra time perfecting the lessons in this book. When I was ready to slap a sticker and pass a song, this student looked at me with great determination and asked if he could spend another week on it. I'm so proud of your progress and your willingness to move at your own pace, even though I would think otherwise! 🎶 🎵

It only took this student 4 weeks to finish her very first piano lesson book! 😲
You've learned so much in your first 4 weeks with me...you are extremely musically talented and I'm honored to be the one who gets to mold you into the musician you want to be! Don't stop this momentum!! 😍

I received this video today of my 2 students (who are brothers), helping each other during their practice sessions.
When teaching, I consistently model the behavior that I expect my students to emulate during their individual practice. In the video, the older brother is guiding the younger one in a manner consistent with my instructional methods!
Great job to the both of you...I'm so proud!! 🥰

Piano Pet of the Week: Maggie
Maggie was just chilling on the couch today, watching in our direction as I was giving a lesson.
This student actually owns 2 Basset Hounds!! Hopefully next time I'll be able to photo capture the male. This goes to show any breed of dog loves listening to music, especially from the piano. 🥰

Piano Pet of the Week: Milo
This cutie loves piano day! As soon as I arrive, he has his toy waiting for me to play. Sometimes he'll even pull the bottom leg of my pants to get my attention. But once Milo starts hearing the music, he becomes calm and just listens...
Every time I arrive for piano lessons, Stella is my overexcited greeter, full of energy and ready to rock. It's like she's thinking, 'Finally, piano time, let's get this party started!' Wish my students shared her zeal... Lol 🤭
