I know people are tired of comedy and drag tradition being "policed" but can we finally retire the "drag queen talks in a low voice" as a "joke" schtick? It perpetuates the transphobic and misogynistic idea that all females have a high voice.

And while we're at it "fish" is totally based in misogyny and trans gatekeeping. The term "real fish" was used by ballroom culture and the trans community as an insult or compliment about how much another person was "passing" perpetuating the idea that a person had to look a certain way to be considered feminine or womanly enough. Fish being a term for cis women alluding to the notion/ urban legend that all va**na smells like fish. Just because you used it wrong for years, or only used it with the best intentions does not erase it's origins.

I dreamt last night that Nic Moberg and Selena West produced a production show with a full orchestra, I have no idea what the show was about but the costume theme was "and gold" so turquoise with gold trim, gold with black trim, purple and gold color blocking, and so on. They had Amaya Sexton and Plane Jane as special guests and their opening act was William Shatner and Silky Nutmeg Ganache singing duets of classic R&B in the style of jazz standards.

Just so y'all know I haven't retired from drag I'm just on a sabbatical while I work to get Rose City Reptile Rescue off the ground. National Holiday isn't ready to take her final bow just yet.
