Lucky Fields

We sure are!! I made this delicious zucchini pizza last night! It’s so easy and so yummy! Use your favorite pizza dough recipe (or King Arthur Baking Company if you don’t feel like making it.) stretch it out, cover it in Alfredo sauce, layer thin zucchini slices being sure to put salt and fresh thyme on each layer, drizzle a bit of Alfredo, pile on some slices of mozzarella and sprinkle with Parmesan! Next week I’m going to add sautéed chicken breast to mine for some extra protein! Yum! Yum! YYUUMMM!!!!!!!

I didn’t get one of this nugget all cooked up but YUM!!! It was so delicious! A bed of tarragon, sage leaves under the skin, lots of butter and a bit of time in the oven and you too could have a gourmet meal with very little effort! Come by Honey Field Farm this evening from 4-7 to grab a lobster roll, chicken and eggs for the week, veggies and herbs,beautiful flowers and so many other tasty treats!

It’s been a very busy couple of weeks! We now have a functioning on farm butcher shop, 600 more chickens in the freezer, a new official meat inspection manager (Rosie) and a ton of wonderful memories from visiting the zoo! Rosie went out with the camera yesterday to show off her beautiful birds! Here are the shots she wanted to share. The girls head to a new paddock in the next day or so and will come back to this spot next season with hopefully a lot more grass and a few less egg hiding spots! Thank you to everyone who came out and helped up SELL OUT!! We sold out of our pasture raised, organic fed, Certified Naturally Grown certified eggs yesterday! We fed some amazing The Prouty: Go all in to end cancer athletes, some wonderful locavors and so so many friends and neighbors. We’ll be back on Saturday with another giant cooler full of these beauties ready to be scrambled, baked and boiled.
