FBI Springfield is looking for skilled electronics technicians to join our team. Our technicians work with advanced communication and intrusion systems, applying their expertise in data networks, radio frequency theory, and electronic troubleshooting.

Major Duties
• Install, maintain, and test Bureau communication and intrusion systems
• Maintain and service FM radio, teletype, secure telephone, data, and intrusion systems
• Use advanced test equipment to install, repair, and evaluate radio systems
• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance
• Stay current with evolving technology and attend training as needed

This FBI is crushing narcotics networks and dismantling criminal enterprises across the country. As part of Summer Heat 2.0, our teams have seized nearly 10,000 kg of narcotics and 3,116 weapons, and made 5,097 arrests, and we’re not slowing down. On this International Overdose Awareness Day, we reaffirm our commitment to combat drug trafficking organizations and crush violent crime to restore safety in our communities.

We made historic, enterprise-wide changes to deliver these results. That’s the mission of this FBI.

Galesburg residents Jordan Eskridge, 31, and Breana Crider, 28, were sentenced in federal court for trafficking m**hamphetamine and ma*****na. Eskridge received 240 months in prison and Crider received 121 months, each followed by five years of supervised release. Investigators seized more than 3.8 kilograms of m**h, nearly 500 grams of ma*****na, and two fi****ms. Eskridge, a convicted felon, was also sentenced for illegally possessing a fi***rm. The case was investigated by the Galesburg Police Department and FBI Springfield as part of Project Safe Neighborhoods. Last week we had the honor of welcoming several FBI retirees back to the Springfield Field Office. Their decades of service, leadership, and dedication laid the foundation for the work we continue today. It was a privilege to reconnect with those who helped shape our team and our mission. We’re grateful for their lasting contributions and proud to carry their legacy forward.

This week, FBI Springfield recognized Illinois State Police Troop 8 Trooper Jeff A. Royer (Troop 8) and Trooper William P. Printy (Statewide Anti‑Violence Enforcement – SAVE South Unit) for their outstanding work leading to the arrest of FBI Wanted Fugitive Dontay R. Moore Jr. on September 26, 2025.

Moore, a member of the East Saint Louis gang known as the Lundy Mobb, served as an enforcer for the group and was the primary suspect in a drive‑by murder linked to multiple shootings and other violent crimes. He had previously been indicted for possession of a machine gun along with two other Lundy Mobb members and was later added to the FBI Wanted Fugitive List. A $15,000 reward was issued for information leading to his arrest.

At approximately 7:30 PM on September 26, Trooper Royer and Trooper Printy observed a vehicle with a missing registration and illegal window tint. When they attempted a traffic stop, the vehicle refused to comply and continued at a low rate of speed. Moments later, an individual—later identified as Moore—jumped from the vehicle and fled on foot. The Troopers pursued and successfully took him into custody.

Their quick and coordinated actions were critical to the success of a nearly four‑month manhunt involving dozens of agents and extensive investigative efforts. Moore later pled guilty and, in June 2026, was sentenced to 8 years in federal prison—a strong result for our territory.

This arrest was also part of the broader ISP SAVE Initiative, which resulted in:
• 37 arrests
• 37 felony charges
• 61 total criminal charges
• 17 fi****ms‑related charges
• 13 fi****ms seized

Outstanding work by all involved. These efforts continue to make a meaningful impact on the safety of our communities.
