Poetry Slam in Springfield, MO. Every FIRST Sunday of the month! In a rotation of three rounds, poets have three minutes to present one original poem per round.
The "Show Me Poetry" Poetry Slam is an opportunity for poets to compete and share their original poetry, and for the audience to experience the community at work. This slam encourages the audience to take part in the show as well, either as one of the five volunteer judges, or by simply cheering on the poets and booing the scores they feel were too low. This is a beautiful night that will change how you see the world. Come out and join us!

Two weeks from now: It's the August Show-Me Poetry slam! With a $50 cash prize for the first-place winner and a $20 second-place prize, it's the highest-stakes poetry game in all of Greene County. Thrilling! See you there, ye gamblers and takers of chance.

There are nights when it feels like every performance was a banger, and this was one of them! Congratulations to LonLisa in 1st, E$ in 2nd, and Joseph in third!

Oh, good grief... In our excitement about our new venue, we completely forgot to make a winner's post last month!
In spite of the stormy weather*, we had an incredible first slam at Mother's Brewing Company! Congratulations to Michelle for a 3rd place win, Kaitlin for 2nd place, and Teddy (pictured) for taking home the 1st place $50 cash prize!
Next slam is coming up this Sunday, July 5th! We can't wait to hear what you've created this month.
