OPEN PANTRY COMMUNITY GARDEN

Today we celebrated our new partnership with The Trustees’ Urban Outdoors Program and the Pocasset Ponkanoket Land Trust. The weather was absolutely gorgeous!

For the first time in its history, the Garden will be stewarded year-round by experts, ensuring that herbs and vegetables will be harvested for our community for many years to come.

A total of 55 people joined, including several volunteers, staff from the Trustees and PPLT, Jonathan Holden and Matt Kielbania of OPCS, along with 10 additional employees from our Emergency Food Pantry, Open Door Social Services and Low Threshold Housing Support Programs.

A delicious lunch was provided by Fatuma Halal Cafe of Springfield.

Our garden is located on the corner of School and Temple Streets. Swing on by and take a look!

OPCS was invited to a fun and exciting QUARTER AUCTION at Foster Memorial Church.

OPCS' Nicole Lussier and Jonathan Holden recently joined the Stuffing the Pantry Committee in celebration of a very successful 14th Annual Run/Walk, held annually on Thanksgiving Day. The 2025 final total was an AMAZING $68,350.
