Dan tries to use his bike instead of his car whenever possible. This includes grocery runs. He knows some good back roads to the local Aldi! Having the ability to ride a bike for errands is super fun! So much better than a car.

Dan’s bike is a 2011 Surly Cross-check with a Crust cargo fork installed. It allows him to haul a lot of gear as well as two full grocery bags!

Christine recently visited various spots in the Illinois countryside by bicycle. She wanted to enjoy the beautiful Spring weather and visit some of her favorite spots in the country. She took a break under her favorite tree and was serenaded by birds, then headed to a lavender farm to pick up some of the fun items they had for sale. She finished the day relaxing in the shade at her favorite winery and even had room in bags to bring home some bottles. It was a wonderful day and she’s looking forward to many more like it this summer ☀️🍷🌳

Christine has a Trek Bicycle Marlin 5 named Gertie. In the five years she’s had her, they have enjoyed almost 12,000 miles together 🙌

She also took the opportunity to show her visiting niece the trails in the area...and secondly, gas is too expensive! 😳😱
